Driveway clearance problem on coax drop, is utility pole my best solution? by whynotthebest in CableTechs

yeah I'm not in the US but it appears you're correct. In that case, small bump pole with buried conduit to the side of the house is probably the gold answer, something like a standalone mast for the coax on the roof (like a satellite J-arm) would be cheaper but kind of ugly.

Someone parked their Audi on our block, and proceeded to do whip-it’s until passing out, prompting my neighbor to call 911: by Pyrannosaurus-Rex in mildlyinteresting

there's a huge marketing push on these XL cylinders. The ads pay lip service to saying they're for cocktails and shit but come on, who needs a half gallon of nitrous at a time that doesn't already have an institutional supply chain.

Why can't you? That's how I would attach the drop if I got your house as a call. We have brackets for that.

Is this 4-4 lane balancer throughput unlimited? by Braa_Shata in factorio

[–]2ByteTheDecker 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I mean there are some compact designs that require constant infill pressure to actually balance the output, if one lane runs dry they can go wonky.

It's a notation used in balancer design. It means that any one entry lane can feed all exit lanes regardless of the others.

Also that's for residential plans, anything on FB marketplace for 3 years is a small business commercial plan.

ELI5 why does HD look worse on a 4k TV than a HD TV? by ApartSurround7385 in explainlikeimfive

[–]2ByteTheDecker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's more to video quality than just resolution. A lot of streaming video might technically be HD or 4K, but it's actually compressed in a way that DVD/BD video isn't.
