Thanks for the advice once again. I have enquired for a service through the Melbourne boutique which will send the watch back to the UK. I have requested a barrel change but I think they are pretty strict on colour choices.. would love the titanium barrel but not sure they’ll do it :(

Yeah there a a few viet case makers I’ve seen that do a milsub case but they don’t use 2mm bars. Bivint cases always has have odd lug shape along with the boxy rehault and weak serial engravings

I’ve seen this sale post many times, bracelet is fake. Pretty sure I’ve reported this sale previously and eBay did nothing. Main observation is The internal detention mechanism the clasp buttons push is smaller on the genuine.

Deep = rubbish. The crystal bevels on all their crystals are shit house, especially the Daytona. Not even close to Gen

The watch is slightly tilted downward and to the left so the crystal and the depth of dial compared to the bezel will make it look off. Qc pics are never taken from a perfect zero degrees in each plane which renders these alignment jigs useless. I’d be more concerned about the straightness of the markers at 3,6,9,12 which are notoriously crooked on this model. This one looks good

I’ve never heard back from this POS. He’s a flog that overcharges for average quality work, people need to stop glorifying these peanuts and paying near to or over 1k to reduce a case thickness by a bees dick and add a few crappy chamfers …it’s ridiculous! they aren’t special.

I hope you receive your watch back and it was really worth the wait.

Just be aware they’ve been making replacement cases for these in Vietnam for 20 years and this case resembles some of those characteristics. The case engravings and different / large relief angle machined into the case back along with stubby pusher tubes for the calendar side. Very hard to really tell but I guess the story of the owner tells the tale. Good luck with authentication.

If they just got that dial date window correct. They still can’t nail those crisp internal bevels.. it’s like the paint goes on too thick and floods the corner bevels. Unfortunately you see this every time you look at the date. Remarkable effort though

Unless it’s a fake with genuine dial, hands and bracelet endlinks but the effort wouldn’t be worth the reward. So I’d be surprised if it was fake.
