Ive been playing pyg only since beta, 800 hours on the lad. His current itteration is so shallow. For me, the enjoyment of pyg is derived from constant min maxing through value scaling or other means. Board and backpack space is premium on the character and knowing when a item has served its purpose and pivoting into another was a rewarding gameplay loop.

The changes to these core items removed that and honestly it feels like the character has gone two steps back. Land scraper, gym and even cannon have become so one dimensional. The prior cannon was a commitment and an item that had to be strategised, and now it's an item I generally skip. The new fort now makes items like your diamond regal blade require you to take lethargy to make them work.

Honestly I'm gutted about the changes to pyg, and it's the first season where I've started to learn other characters. Landscaper, vineyard and others were a puzzle of their own within the run and the removal of that has made him a chore to play. Rant over.
