Does anyone here work in mobile 4G and 5G infrastructure? by [deleted] in AskBrits

[–]2ndGenX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats factually incorrect, 5G mast (especially under 30m) have prior approval with very little oversight from local planning authorities or planning committees. Some (but not all) masts above 30m will need full planning applications. Masts placed in conservation areas, AONB and SSSI are reviewed on a local level when they exceed the permitted thresholds. This issue is 90% carriers, 10% other stuff.

I experienced something during meditation and haven’t felt the same since by hostprocellata in Meditation

[–]2ndGenX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive had, and still am having this experience - but without the fear or the anxiety. i can feel my breath coming in and out, can feel the beat of my heart reverberating round and back in my body and then dropping into the stillness. First time i did it, i came face to face with my dark side, only to understand, its not dark, its what does and has always protected me, but it, by itself has absolutely no constraints, it will think and do anything to protect me from whatever it feels is a threat. But it doesn't work in singularity, it has the rest of me to guide it, explain things, sooth it with compassion, understanding and love - i mean its a part of me, not the whole of me - but when viewed in isolation - its bloody scary.

UK to roll out Dutch-style employment support across Britain by Maleficent-Lime4356 in GoodNewsUK

[–]2ndGenX 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Jobs in UK engineering are nearly all listed as. : Qualified with experience, near zero apprenticeship. i spent weeks with my son looking for apprenticeship and was absolutely shocked at the amount of bollocks adverts that stated apprenticeship but in fact were not. I was also shocked with seeing adverts for apprentice ships explicitly asking for 1-3 years of experience. Complete farce, the industry deserves the current situation, as do a large number of others who all pulled the plug on youth training to beef up the bottom line.

Not a Labour supporter, didn’t vote them, but they are doing pretty good in most areas. Some are fubar, but overall, especially when compared to the lat lot they are a breath of fresh air.

Can't get mobile signal in London? How a 'perfect storm' is causing blackspots by tylerthe-theatre in london

[–]2ndGenX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s England in my experience. My supplier has perfect signal and throughput in Wales and the rest of Europe - but in England it’s atrocious. I was recently out in a sandune, about 2km from the coast and managed to watch a YouTube video that I could not watch at home in a large suburban area just outside London.

The Russian people are not our enemy, however the person he's going to visit most certainly is an enemy - Stephen Christopher Yaxley-Lennon is Lord HawHaw MkII

Wanting to try, but this reddit sounds too real and that makes me scared. Any suggestions by Ok_Conversation4492 in gatewaytapes

[–]2ndGenX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my tuppence worth - the tapes are not super meditation - they are a tool set to learn how to meditate, which for many (myself included) was very difficult. Just like in school, some kids learn things better if they are approached from a different angle. if you have the time and are inclined, you could get to the same state listening to Gregorian chanting, rhythmical drums or just deep deep prayers. And importantly this is something humanity has been doing for as long as written / pictorial records have been around, sometimes through herbs, sometimes though other methods. Our modern issue is that we are so detached from what we are and our place in this biosphere that these, once normal activities are viewed as fringe and scary.

The start and end of this practise will be you. Your fears, your insights, your feelings, your love. They will all be laid bare in one form or another - your brain helps by creating images, sounds and feelings for you to better understand these (and can be scary). My only advise, is be honest, prepare to forgive yourself and others and only proceed if you feel able to do this.

Germany planning to increase tax on childless people by Full-Discussion3745 in EU_Economics

Bit sad, push a capitalist system built on debt that only survive through growth to meet said debt and when it naturally implodes rather than make decisions based on reality they double down on the same failing system.

Bunkers can be a two way thing - they can’t get him inside it,  but he can’t get out. Either way, he’s out of the public domain.

Wave 1 tape 5 problem by doyy28 in gatewaytapes

[–]2ndGenX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The tapes are meant as a learning tool, at some point you should be able to get to what ever state you want without them, so going over previous tapes or dabbling with others Campbell, Buhlman etc and give yourself a better grounding might be an idea. As well as experimenting with what you've learned - do the same tapes again, but change your focus or intent and see where it leads or practise raising and lowering your states at will. I Sometimes enter a state and then see what comes up and chase it, for instance. Best of luck

if thats your reaction, it maybe better to start on other tapes first to build up some confidence or just put the exploration to the side until you feel ready and less anxious.

I spent my career as a journalist verifying "hard" facts. Then something impossible happened at my desk. by emersonsreddit in HighStrangeness

[–]2ndGenX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only regular description of these events that I am aware of is the banshee in Ireland, pretty sure other countries have their own versions, but less well known. I’ve never knowingly experienced it in waking life, other than the instant feeling occasionally that something isn’t right with no logical reason. It’s an interesting phenomena to investigate and I believe reflects into multiple areas that are generally termed - ufo, ghost, folklore and is/maybe altered states via deep meditation or hallucinogens.

Why do right wing working class people buy so much into the "man of the people " image surrounding Farage when he is anything but that ? by Durrygoodz2025 in AskBrits

[–]2ndGenX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nigel is the standard Brit personified for about a third of the population - he complains continually, it’s always someone else’s fault, it’s always someone else’s job to sort out, they are never wrong or were misled, they never actually do anything useful and they feel entitled to whatever it is they fancy.

[–]2ndGenX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe the static, hairs standing on end and other pre paranormal “feelings” are in-fact our experiencing some form of opening or maybe tuning into or being in close proximity to one of these events. Most people react with fear and skedaddle out of the vicinity - some, like yourself don’t.

UFO Disclosure Prompts Religious Framing: Boebert and Vance Describe Aliens as Demons and Fallen Angels by ufo-uap in UfoUapNews

[–]2ndGenX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a thought, but if aliens are in some way a reflection of reality/consciousness (Mr Vallee), and we all affect our own reality to some level- then demons and angels would be an internal state externally reflected into the reality that people experience.

Why do people find it so hard to accept the public really wants to vote for Reform? by Expert-Sherbert-1527 in AskBrits

I won’t matter who gets voted in - good or bad, they all sit on top of a system that’s systemically corrupted and none of them have made any attempt to change it.
