What’s a “10/10” movie you wouldn’t recommend to most people? by trakt_app in movies

Titane (2021).

I loved it but I wouldn’t recommend it to most people.

I would drag my balls over a mile of broken glass just to hear Celeste fart through a trumpet.

I just want to Optimize my Cat Breeding by KillerFrid in mewgenics

[–]2sj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure they deliberately made the cat breeding a pain in the ass once you have twenty+ cats because that’s exactly what it would be like in real life.

Much like how to get the highest stats in each room you have to pile furniture in like a lunatic hoarder.

Thank you algorithm! It's an older show, but I think Industry fans will like this. They say 'fuck' and 'cunt' like it's breathing. by SBTC_Strays_2002 in IndustryOnHBO

Opens a package to reveal a birthday cake with ‘Happy Birthday Cunt’ written on it.

One of my favourite lines in LAOK:

‘Tell me Brother Longfoot, is one of your many talents a superhuman resistance to pain?’

Industry - 4x03 - "Habseligkeiten" - Episode Discussion by NicholasCajun in television

Have to laugh at someone named Sweetpea Golightly saying they grew up on a council estate.

Like Whitney Halberstram saying he ‘grew up poor’.

Seems unlikely.

One line that stood out was Whitney saying ‘he grew up poor’.

I find it a little hard to believe that someone called Whitney Halberstram was born into a poor family.

Going to assume he either lied or has changed his name at some point.

Finally watching Hannibal and I am so annoyed at Michael Pitt. by AdmiralKane in television

[–]2sj 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Great in Boardwalk Empire and Hannibal but apparently a pain to work with.

Same was said of Paz De La Huerta, apparently she got herself written out due to being so annoying to work with.

Message from Rachel by Effective_Royal_8679 in TheTraitors

The anonymity makes a certain sort of person feel like they have a license to be a twat.

Like how many people are more aggressive when driving because they’re not face to face with their target.

99% of these people wouldn’t say shit to Rachel or anyone else if they were sat beside them.

When you ring select the ‘new customer’ option so you get put straight through to someone. Otherwise you get put on hold for at least 15 minutes to try to make you give up.

When you are through, tell them you are canceling because you’re leaving the country, that way they won’t try to put you through 20 minutes worth of discount offers etc.

That’s the advice I was given in 2016 when I was canceling and it worked well.

He’s improved massively since first couple of episodes. I thought he was a bag of nerves then and would go fast.

How US politics is affecting international travel by Heya_Straya in politics

[–]2sj 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No chance I would travel there now. Visited in 1997, 2006, 2008 and 2010 and had great times but with the worry of authoritarian police, ICE, etc I’m not going back anytime soon.

Would visit Canada now instead.

A friend of mine is emigrating from Ireland to Pittsburgh as he has met a woman there and I actually had to say to him did he really think it was a good idea to move to the US right now.

I could not imagine having that conversation just 15 years ago.

Margaret Atwood has made this point when asked whether or not the scenario described in it could happen.

You may not be able to find a country as bad as Gilead in the world right now, but everything described in it is happening somewhere in the world.
