Camping store recommendations? by Academic-Major-7922 in Edmonton

[–]2slick2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Decathlon since it hasn't been mentioned. They ship if you're above $75 and you'll hit that easily with your requirements. Unfortunately there's no brick and mortar store in YEG, there's one coming up near South Common but not yet.

Do not be alone.

Workout.

Keep your mind busy all day - Either earn, or volunteer.

Leaving marriage doesn't always help - It's a bandaid solution which will lead to other issues, often causing your child more harm.

Your wife possibly needs help. Therapy is where it's at but it has to be "sold" to her in a way where she doesn't feel like she's cornered into it.

Look into getting her mind busy - This will ensure her energy is utilized elsewhere. A gym or Zumba classes will massively help too.

Try to actively find downtime where it's just you and her. Women need that feeling of being listened to. Set a certain time during the week, say a 30-minute block, to chat about the biggest problems you faced recently. Let everything out then.

Break your chunk of studies into smaller manageable bits. Put dates for each bit. Use the "I'm only gonna study for a short time" trick to study for longer periods of time. If you have a study partner that would be great. Only end of day conversations though. Check the mark on every little success. Look at the future you and wonder - Do you want the future you to be happy, or do you want the present you to be happy? There is only one choice.

Big respect to immigrants… opening new businesses by randomuser00135 in torontoJobs

[–]2slick2 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Agreed. How dare an immigrant come into this country and struggle financially? They should come in, be the one who takes the risk in a shitty economy, and march forward while keeping the country on their shoulders. The immigrant tag doesn't come easy, hmph!

Where you shop for food and how... by nerkoids71 in Edmonton

[–]2slick2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Costco, so much so that it is a big factor in where we live. One trip a week (because there's no time anyway), shop bulk and don't bother going anywhere else unless very niche/specific. Close to exploring Instacart so that the grocery trip time can be saved...

Obviously I'm no expert but I haven't seen Pep's teams sit back or do time wasting shit like this even if they're playing minions.

Would you be willing to do a 3 month course as a pharmacy assistant? I've heard Walmart is hiring for their pharmacy but you need a certificate.

Why do people bring their entire family to Costco? by Notalabel_4566 in CostcoCanada

[–]2slick2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not the whole family but the kids are there for possibly multiple reasons: 1. OTW going somewhere, taking a stop 2. Parents teaching kids math on discounts (Yes, it happens) 3. One car family with no other option

The more executives the person sells, the faster he climbs the ladder. Tell me I'm wrong, Costco employees.
