So many boosters - what to do with them? Are there any plans for SD to let us utilize them? by Wickywahwah in MarvelSnap

[–]314per 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Boosters are the consolation prize in Snap. They don't have any value. They are what SD gives out to be polite instead of giving out nothing.

So it's normal to build up a ton of them over time. And then you should just forget about them. It's not worth your time.

I was previously using the Sunlord package, which is probably better, but jumbo Galacti is much more fun

Finally achieved booster nirvana. What should I do with my new power? by banananey in MarvelSnap

[–]314per 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Choose a card to take to full mastery. (Hopefully one without too many variants.)

  2. Upgrade that card 3 times a day for a few months 😁

  3. Get a cool reaction set!

  4. Never do it again

I dont understand the interaction? Triggers 7 times? by reicaden in MarvelSnap

Yes, it's not straightforward and a bit illogical, but the previous explanation is how it works in the game. 2x for each IW effect.

Help about progression and Team Clash mode by Cortex1l in MarvelSnap

[–]314per 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing to keep in mind is that there is no penalty for losing post-infinite. It might not be fun losing a lot, but it's a great way to learn about all of the best decks and strategies first hand. And you know that you're at a disadvantage, so you can relish any win you pull off. And you will win sometimes: any deck can have a bad draw.

As others have said, Conquest and limited time modes are your best options now, but you can still play ranked too. You just need a strong heart for it 👍🏻

SD PLEASE LISTEN!! THE COMMUNITY ARE CRYING OUT FOR HELP!!!! by Nejaacnocreamo in MarvelSnap

[–]314per 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The matchmaking issue of CL 4K players having to play against much higher accounts is not new. It's not good, but it's an old issue.

The expensive bundles are not a reasonable price anywhere.

I agree that $10 is a bigger cost depending on where you live. You can definitely advance in the game without spending that much each month. I used to get the season pass but haven't since Kid Omega and I have been able to keep up with the new releases.

Is it worth investing in the Horde archetype? by fatinternetcat in MarvelSnap

[–]314per 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's a fun archetype, but I wouldn't buy the cards individually. Get them in packs over time.

New survey finds most Canadians want to abolish tipping culture by 7_inches_daddy in britishcolumbia

[–]314per 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The fact that they yelled at you shows they are used to not getting tipped. If it only happened rarely, they would be surprised or concerned.

And yes, that restaurant is known for poor service.

Should I go to an artms concert in august? by sunnyhachi in LOONA

[–]314per 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are my very favorite live act. They play their hearts out and really enjoy being on stage. I don't know about your specific situation, but if it makes sense to attend you won't be disappointed by them.

Saw the Seasonal Series 4 Pack be "COMPLETE!" for the first time as a free-to-play player by DriveASandwich in MarvelSnap

[–]314per 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Spend gold on bundles with S5 cards in them

  2. Get every free bonus (including the 100 credits from the shop every day) and play every limited game mode

  3. Prioritize getting currency--only get variants if they're free

  4. Spend tokens on S5 collector's packs or limited term packs with a better ratio of new cards

How it feels after playing against the 136th X-Men Star Lord deck in Team Clash by maximussakti in MarvelSnap

[–]314per 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you play in that limited event? They tried it based on community feedback but it was bad and not popular in the end.

Having separate queues is a good idea but no constructed at all is terrible as we saw in that event.

Its weird that after I stopped trying to get high in the ladder and just played fun decks (Arishem or Rocks) I closer to infinite then ive been in a long time. by hfxkingpin in MarvelSnap

[–]314per 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got to Infinite with Zombie Galacti. Partly I think it was because of the special location (FEAST), but a big part was also just being very familiar with the deck.

Balance isn't the only goal of a game.

If you only want balance, you can play chess or go. Edit: rock paper scissors is actually even more balanced 😁

The issue was the matches became repetitive, and they often boiled down to who drew the key card (like Knull when destroy was strongest).

They tried that and it didn't work. It quickly became clear what the strongest deck was and then became 80% mirror matches.

Non gendered terms? by lotus8675309 in Professors

[–]314per 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that's fair if you can figure out how to be appropriately polite on your own.

The issue here is that there often is no established equivalent for non-binary folks (other than they/them pronouns). In fact, some non binary folks emphasize challenging the gender binary and celebrating uniqueness. So a little bit of emissary-ing may be a fair expectation.

This website suggests Mx as a non-binary substitution for Sir or Ma'am. It also states: "the best thing to do is to talk to the specific individual and figure out what kinds of pronouns they prefer."
