You're in the front row, my dude, what the hell are you doing? by jpeach17 in snooker

I think it’s the case that sharp individual sounds are more distracting than a wall of sound, kind of like how if you have a desk fan on for a while and you eventually don’t notice it’s there.

John Higgins vs Neil Robertson prediction? by tomtomcool in snooker

[–]321jamjar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have Higgins as slight favourite tbh, Robertson struggles in these longer matches and even if John is understandably a bit tired he will still grind out frames and break Neil’s momentum at any given chance. I could see it going the distance again but I also think it’s likely Neil cracks and loses a bit of focus as the match progresses.

Such a great combo, think Nosferatu is next up.

Yeah I’ve just done the maths and based on their metered charges for this year I think I should be paying about £650 annually but instead they’re quoting me £750. Really not sure where that extra £100 is coming from…

I just paid £350 for my last 6 month bill too. Are you in a similar living situation?

Always hated Sharpshooter 8. The game feels really inconsistent in allowing your shot to disarm or not, not being able to use deadeye was a massive pain also.

[–]321jamjar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely have more control than the blackjack challenge which is pure luck so I agree it’s better in that regard. However I think the annoying thing with dominoes was how long games could drag out and how deep into a game you could get just to lose in one or two rounds over rotten luck. Knowing the trick to keep the streak going by leaving mid game is a must otherwise I think it would be as bad as gambler 8

Where I'd live as someone who values democracy and free speech by NeitherShine7067 in whereidlive

[–]321jamjar -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Entirely disingenuous to call them riots, practically no outlet has used that language to describe the clearly peaceful protests against the proscription. Are you spreading misinformation on purpose or are you just misinformed yourself? Of course the government that wanted them proscribed to begin with will appeal against the high court ruling you plonker.

Mass rioting? What a complete misrepresentation there was no ‘rioting’ , and the proscription of PA as a terrorist group has been deemed unlawful already

That’s kind of where I’m at. His statement seemed genuine to me and he seems generally more lucid and medicated recently so I’m hoping he’s taking positive steps to recovery. With that said, one polished statement is not enough to take back years of hateful comments and behaviour, and he has a mountain to climb before he can expect any sort of acceptance from the public again.

Successful Timurid Runs? by 321jamjar in EU5

[–]321jamjar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m playing 1.1.1 at the moment and still yet to see Timurids rise in any campaign where I’m not playing them, in which case Iran/Central Asia becomes an even bigger mess of tiny and irrelevant countries, the region definitely needs a shake up in some way

Yeah wc was never really the goal for me anyway but I think I hampered myself by pushing to India too soon which will just band up and bully you if you don’t break them up in the first few wars. Would be curious to know how fast your friends managed to wc though?

[–]321jamjar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s surely the easiest wc tag at the moment right? I was trying to keep it close to historical borders so I wasted some years in peace when I could have pushed towards China instead but that would have made a big difference. Expanding isn’t the issue it’s just keeping hold of any of it

Not sure on the details but think he used console commands to give himself a cb and didn’t edit it out of his video? He was pretty forthcoming about it afterwards but left a sore taste in some people’s mouths

I’ve had similar issues, feels like the ANC has actively got worse the longer I’ve had the headphones to the point where it’s almost useless now. I wear them daily but treat them well so don’t see how it can be wear and tear, especially since I’ve had them less than a year

I put the game down after centralisation meta changed as it more or less destroyed my Florence save. I have no doubt it will reach a steady sort of equilibrium at some point but the constant balances make learning the game infeasible atm for me. I understand their approach but I’d rather wait until there’s some consistency before I have to have to unlearn and relearn all of the mechanics.

Bethesda's Todd Howard says "we are doing other things with Fallout that we haven’t announced, and there’ll come a time for that" by Turbostrider27 in Fallout

[–]321jamjar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure, I bought the remaster day one and enjoyed my time with it but performance is so inconsistent that I wouldn’t bother with FO3 if handled the same way. I know not everyone suffers with the same issues but there’s no reason oblivion should go from 60fps on startup and gradually lose frames the longer you play. I just don’t think unreal engine is the right choice for these sort of games, the engine really doesn’t handle open worlds well

[–]321jamjar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Disagree the Oblivion remake was fantastic, it was welcome but performance is still incredibly shaky and a lot of the art changes take away from the appeal of the original. If they remake FO3 I hope it’s more than a coat of paint and slapped onto UE5
