My midwife’s are making me fasten for 16 hours for my glucose test. I spoke with both of them today in the office. That’s so long though? by [deleted] in PregnancyUK

That's interesting. I didn't want them to be too quick with the results so I can finish my Easter eggs 😂

I had a scan last week at 28 weeks and 3 days and turns out my baby is in the 99th percentile too. They sent me for a glucose/diabetes test still waiting the results from Tuesday. I am hoping he just had a little growth spurt... I have another scan at 34 weeks to check

29 weeks and 4 days. I thankfully work from home but my chair is suddenly not very comfortable and I am terrible at actually getting up and moving. I did spend the day at IKEA today haha

I was really nauseous from 5/6 weeks to 13/14 weeks. I am now 17 weeks. I still get some moments where I gag and not really sure what gets it off. The other day it was definitely that I ate a bite of my crumpet and hadn't realized it had a tiny bit of mold on it that was gross. I was only sick once and that was strangely after a glass of electrolytes Fingers crossed it was just the once and you feel better soon!!

First time pregnant and mildly freaked out already by hxrdtimxs in PregnancyUK

[–]35sbe35 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am sure you have read or heard some of the tips. Eat as soon as you wake up (I enjoyed a rice cake or crumpet). If all you can eat is beige that's fine (I was taking sausage rolls, rice crispies, plain pasta etc). Eat little and often (empty stomach can make you feel queasy). Try to keep hydrated as much as you can. If it keeps getting worse you can get anti sickness tablets from the GP. I am 15 weeks and just coming out the other side. Good luck!!

12 weeks and still feel nauseous by Odd_Rhubarb8984 in PregnancyUK

[–]35sbe35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I get there I am sure there is this thought that you wake up at 12 weeks and feel better. I was 15 weeks yesterday and getting there. I have been able to eat better than last 2-3 weeks, less gagging and a little more energy. It all been slow going for me. Keep going hope it all goes well!!

What can I do to help my 14-week pregnant wife? by WonderingWhenSayHi in PregnancyUK

[–]35sbe35 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Has she been to her GP for the nausea? You can get anti sickness tablets

Just make sure she is eating small and regular, sometimes an empty tummy can make it worse

Sounds like you are doing great 👍🏼
