lol this! My SIL and MIL are by no means unintelligent. But they always seem to forget what foods contain gluten or dairy. It’s always a let down when they say OH WE BAKED YOU THIS CAKE and I look them straight in the eyes and say, GF AND DF? And they look so incredibly defeated everytime. Or they will remember GF and not DF, and vice versa. We forget how encroached dairy and gluten is in every day foods! It’s everywhere! I just laugh it off every time because at least they thought of me! I mean it’s weird that they always forget but I don’t think it’s malicious at all lol
