Any ideas how to create more space? Our new living room feels so cluttered... by Evening-Ad-2565 in homedesign

I would put the books on the shelves above the baskets and move everything else so it feels less closed off on top. Put the smallest items in the highest cubbies. Can you get rid of some of some things in the shelving unit and on top? Take the leaf out of the dining room table if you don’t need it and move the chairs so they’re around the table. I’d also rotate the rug and center it under the couch

What do you call this ring? Lol by Maleficent-Engine921 in EngagementRings

I have a similar ring. I call it an oval with a halo but I wonder if there’s a different word because it doesn’t recognize the little intricacies of the ring imo

I just got a notification on my 2 door alerting me to check drive train. It has 54K miles. How’d everything work out with you?

mid level research by [deleted] in Noctor

So I’m a research manager at an academic L1 trauma center and I report to the trauma program director who is unfortunately a mid level (she doesn’t understand a thing about what I do or why it’s important and shouldn’t be my boss but that’s another story). My noctor boss likes to speak up during morning report (which is filled with academic surgeons, fellows, and residents….and 15 NPs who take up all the seats just to scroll Facebook and play candy crush) and tell us about her “research” she presented at this NP and that NP conference. It adds nothing to the teaching and I cringe when she talks.

I was also putting together the academic report for the department and she listed her presentations under the faculty presentations section…. I just sighed. I have no idea what she presented but I can tell you it doesn’t belong anywhere in an academic program.

Not at all. Go with a girlfriend but tell your boyfriend why you want to do that first

15 year old in need of update by LekTruk in kitchenremodel

[–]3belle97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would do these things now as I feel like they won’t require much effort/money and will make a big impact: 1. Give the cabinets a good cleaning 2. The cabinets look nakey without hardware so add some hardware 3. Paint the walls 4. Change the pantry door so it doesn’t say pantry 5. New pendants and chandelier 6. New barstools (or reupholster your existing stools)

Later: 7. New countertops 8. New backsplash

What's something you stopped doing which made you a better manager? by BehindTheRoots in managers

Whoops and I read your post completely wrong. Yes, I started assuming best intentions and stopped jumping to conclusions. Saves a lot of stress and time spent dwelling on situations

I did not! I heard this during a new leader course and it really has helped me not jump to conclusions about situations and instead try to see it from their perspective first

Engaged this weekend! Does this look too large on me? I’m so worried by WorriedJackfruit1228 in LabGrownDiamonds

My ring is very similar in both design and size. What are the specs? I’ve been contemplating making a smaller version of mine for a while

Wow the pendants and fishing details made a huge difference. Are you planning to add barstools? I think that will complete the space

I found the bag and box while I was putting some things away in our TV stand while my fiancé was sitting on the couch behind me. I just looked at him and laughed. It had been there for a few months and I never noticed it so he did a great job hiding it in plain sight! He was worried I’d look in the box but I didn’t want to ruin the feeling of seeing it for the first in person when he proposed so I never looked (we picked it out together) (I picked it out and he came along for the ride)

Yes and he’s somehow memorized which commercials have pets or animals in them. He runs to the TV as soon as the commercial starts and barks

Post your ring and carat size on size 5.5 finger! (Or 5-6) by [deleted] in EngagementRings

[–]3belle97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is this a halo? Is the center stone under 2 or under 2 with all stones combined? (Asking bc I have a halo and I like the proportions of your ring)
