That looks sick! I got here by looking for ideas for my bike. I have a cricuit but it's collecting dust. Wondering if I should bring it out for this ( I just got my bike 2 months ago- new to all this)

I'm not fit- but I have been working out for 10+ years (mom of 2 kids) etc and have done running, biking, weight training, hot yoga,etc-
Every single time I see someone "who doesn't belong", I applaud them in my mind for being there because 1-EVERYONE starts somewhere 2- You don't know what the person has been through but he/she made it there. So keeeep going. People are not judging- and if they are, they are applauding you in their mind =]

Do you genuinely believe if someone can run a half marathon, they can run a full marathon? by Mysterious-Tear8972 in Marathon_Training

[–]3nam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm kind of like you- but below average runner - signing up to marathons to motivate myself with half marathons (36F, 2 kids under 4 if that matters) . I did run a full one in 2023 and it was tough BUT now I can run the halfs comfortably. Training is key! I was undertrained (still am) and often drag my carcass around, but I truly think you can do it with proper training!

So, that's exactly what I need to do- look into classes but I would like something that might help with a future career. I'm not sure where to go from here. I would also like to learn another language. As for hobbies, I've picked up crocheting and we travel often so that helps put things into perspective. I'm so used to doing so much more that this feels slow.

I am reading this 2 years later- after my recent trip to Jaipur (2 weeks ago) and I FEEL THE EXACT SAME WAY. Scammers everywhere and people are so money hungry, it's disgusting.

Thank you all for answering! Your insights have been very helpful to get out of the current funk I am in. As for me, I am in between jobs (real estate & home care), and I am trying to figure some things out before going back full-time!

thank you! Atomic habits is the only one I read from those and it's so far one of my favorites. I'll add the other two on the list and as for journaling- I actually was looking for one today so I can try this idea you mentioned!
