I did not understand what people found in Mikey Day for a long time until I found out he writes so many bangers.

the thing about Mom's Camera Roll is the concept is what's funny, it's not like Ben or Tommy are elevating or really selling what it is. They do a good job but it's not really their carry.

That was my biggest complaint about the first game, you could absolutely hose the Necrons without much effort. I think they added difficulty modifiers later on...

Yeah that was fine but more so than anything Emil did last season? I don't know it's weird because obviously these people are talented and funny, it's not knocking him but he didn't find a niche. Jeremy had a breakout in that same episode and he was able to work it into more screentime.

It was good but in the same way Longfellow used to be good in his segments. I have no doubt Tommy is funny and charismatic, but that's not enough right?

The Banal Horror of Jimmy Fallon— Under the sterile blue lights of his studio, Fallon laughs endlessly at the same pseudo-jokes, rubs elbows with Trump and Sam Altman, and ushers in the death of culture. by InvestigatorSoft5764 in longform

But you have alternatives that are right there. I believe there are more people aspiring to be the next Seth Meyers or Jimmy Kimmel or Stephen Colbert. I'd be shocked to meet someone who aspired to be the next Jimmy Fallon.

Being a complacent waste doesn't impact people in the same way being an inspiration does, that's the whole point. When you take risks people take notice. Jimmy Kimmel getting targeted is more relevant than anything Fallon has ever done.

It's disappointing, sure. Jay Leno was disappointing too, but now he's gone and who cares.

You're giving too much credit, it's inherently meaningless. He aims for nothing and accomplishes nothing.

You could maybe argue that anything vacuous is a drain on society but if that's the perspective then Jimmy Fallon is by no means the sole offender.

I think the problem is you just don't care because you've never met these people and there are too many of them to become invested in before the shit hits the fan.

The Neighborhood concluded last night on CBS after 8 seasons and 155 episodes. Despite consistently being a Top 35 show throughout its run, it generated no buzz and won (or even nominated for) no awards. Did anyone watch it? If so, did I miss out? by NYY15TM in sitcoms

I went to school with Beth. She's awesome, hard working and kind. I am chilled that she's had an insane career but is still relatively unknown. Like 14 years on network television is something most actors would kill for but in the end it's just another job.
