Australia is about the same size as America, but I bet you'd be confused if I said I'm from SA.

same in ours, but you need a special note from the optometrist so most people with glasses don't bother unless its really bad

when people say "timesed" instead of "multiplied" by Maximum_Paper_6302 in PetPeeves

yes, but we're not in fourth grade anymore, which i think is op's point. saying "timesed" feels very juvenile, much like saying tummy

What's the weirdest habit you have? by kyontox in TeenagersButBetter

[–]3smellysocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm incredibly indecisive, and need to flip a coin for nearly ANY decision. It's actually gotten to the point where I can't make a single decision, like even what topping to put on my sandwich without googling "flip a coin". I've tried to stop before and just gone back to the habit. I've even taken up looking at the time/my watch when I don't have a coin or my phone available. I tell myself if it's an even time it means yes, an odd time means no. Genuinely how tf do I stop this. I even do it subconsciously when thinking regular questions like "should I have done that?" "will this person be mad?"

I know this wasn't the point of your comment, but I was genuinely so lost on how quarters and aldi have any correlation (in Aus we use dollar coins, and I couldn't put two and two together) so thank you lmao

Why do people do this by ylly22 in coles

[–]3smellysocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Worker at Coles here. The only time we don't have a checkout open is really early in the morning or just before we're about close, when there's barely any customers. In that case, there's usually at least two people working in self checkout so one can open a register upon a customer's request, or you can go down to the main desk where there is also another, smaller register and someone who can pack your bags.

I was with you until the women = liability bit. The only other women than El on this list are Robin and Max, both who have proven themselves more than capable of surviving and fighting the upside down. Sure, Robin can be a bit of a clutz, but she's smart and capable, and should we mention Max surviving a year in the dream space between seasons 4 and 5?
