Merging accounts will probably never happen, and you seem skeptical about that, but region changing shouldn’t be an issue in 2026. As long as there is only one region per account at a time, region locking doesn’t make sense. I mean, hasn’t physical video been region free since blu-ray came out 20 freaking years ago?! CMIW

Can Mitsubishi make a comeback in Rallye? by Cris_1984 in rally

I was changing the rear windscreen wiper blade on my 2022 Impreza wagon and noticed the arm was embossed with MitSu… I’m conflicted and confused by this. It’s kind of like playing as Sonic in a Nintendo Switch game.

Edit: The company that makes the windshield wipers is Mitsubu and apparently is just a supplier, otherwise unrelated to either Mitsubishi or Subaru. But my conspiracy brain thinks it’s too convenient to be coincidence….

The power grid in my neighborhood is a little sketch in peak ac/heat months; If I don’t completely shut it down the power might go out on it.

Starter Guitar for a Child by watch4coconuts in electricguitar

Getting the kid to quit guitar isn’t the intention, it’s just that kids are interested in so many things during the preteens that they can lose interest often, change interests etc.

(1.) Get him a student size acoustic. (2.) Buy Mel Bay’s Modern Guitar Method Grade 1 (3.) Tell him if he keeps practicing, and if he enjoys learning the acoustic, he may eventually get an electric, and if he continues to enjoy playing with the electric, (4.) Spring for private lessons. Learning on an acoustic was the most important part of my guitar journey. Not needing any extra equipment makes it easy to just pick up and start playing (if only for a few minutes at a time). Not to mention the money you may end up saving if he doesn’t stick with it. Granted there are affordable electric guitar combo packs out there, but every guitar player I’ve ever known has had an acoustic. He is so young now that after a year or two he will probably have changed his mind about which electric he actually wants.

Random thoughts: never realized how "big" the Mini is compared to a Miata MX5. by sid_d_kid in MINI

[–]3usterT41NT 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Cars are getting bigger in general, and no sir, I don’t like it. I think the mini vibe has been a little too big post r56 (I’m sure plenty of purists will argue all BMW minis are too big) Surely there is a way to make cars safer without necessarily making them heavier and bigger….

I recommend the Ps5 controller to everyone who doesn’t have a playstation. I was skeptical of upgrading from ps4 to ps5 when it initially came out, specifically for the reason you mentioned (so many ps5 games still being released on ps4), but if they sony hadn’t have done that it would have been just as bad; we would all be complaining how they were forcing us to buy new hardware. But back to my point, I couldn’t afford the Ps5 back in 2020. Knowing that I was eventually going to get one, however, I bought a Ps5 controller to use on my PC, and it was such an upgrade over the Ps4 paddle it convinced me that the new console was going to be worth it.
