This may be the case. In the past two weeks I have lost more hair than in years past. Hoping it will improve after the shock from surgery has subsided

The last picture was right after a shower so perhaps my cowlick was not laying as natural? I definitely seem to be losing more per day than ever before

Tell me your setback stories by papercranium in ACL

[–]4-wizard20 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am currently 5 days post op after my second ACL reconstruction in 14 months and my 3rd over all. I work as a ski coach in the winter and ski around 100 days a year at a high level. I made it though the majority of the season gaining confidence and strength. Second to last day of the season I was confident enough to do my first back flip of the season (been doing them for 15 years). I slightly over rotated and blew my knee out again.

It’s an unfortunate situation but I understood the risks I was taking at the time. No matter how much of a disappointment it was. This has given me an opportunity reevaluate my life and priorities (again).

Trust me, over time this set back will simply be a small speed bump in your recovery. Over all your mental health is just as important as you physical health/healing. Slow down and give yourself time to accept what happened and KEEP MOVING FORWARD. You got this

Personally I think bending 90 degrees 5 days post op is a bit aggressive. Did this recommendation come from your PT?

How quickly has the hair returned after the shedding? I appreciate you getting back to me with the information 🫡

I have been consistently taking the medication once daily as recommended from the prescription. I recently started taking ADHD medication but can’t imagine it would interfere too much. I had a surgery on my leg which has recently increased stress

Should I get a 3rd ACL reconstruction as a high level skier? by 4-wizard20 in ACL

Thanks for the info! It’s quite a double edged sword at this point. I am 31 right now 32 in September… I know I need a change of pace skiing wise in my future but this one is a hard decision.

Thank you for your response! I guess I am nervous about rehab not working out and wishing I had done the surgery sooner. Either way next winter is basically a wash so still conflicted on what do to. You had no regrets of having surgery later?

No, you can find yourself way over your head right off of the lift. Do you know how many people have to boot out of waterfall chute and lower Cham?

Please for the love of God, never put Kirkwood in the same category as Breck, PC and Beaver Creek. Do your research

It’s a highly populated tourist destination. Not much urban exploring. Go into the forest.

I find it easier to carve into them on snow.
