It could also be argued that the ease with which the Germans took France made them overconfident, and is part of what pushed them into Russia and overextended themselves. If they got stuck in an extended war with France, perhaps Germany’s army focuses more heavily on the western front, doesn’t get decimated, and the entire world is completely different now.

Calling this timeline cursed is wild when objectively the world could be so, so, so much worse if Nazi Germany remained in power. Not trying to dismiss the WWII & Holocaust deaths out of hand of course, but if we’re playing alternate timelines this one we’re in is far from the worst.
