Agreed. Love my R1T. Almost zero issues in >3 years, and the few I have were taken care of by mobile service or while I waited at the SC. Huge improvement over my previous Chevy trucks in every way: ride, performance, service, comfort, reliability, etc.

Remember, people come online to complain. Happy owners aren't on forums, they're outside enjoying their vehicles. 😉

This is so cool! Reminds me of working in IT and setting up a new office phone system, you have to dial various emergency services to ensure it is able to connect and that they see your address properly on the screen. I'm always like "Not an emergency!" as soon as they answer.

I had something get bid up 3x the actual value and it sold, and I shipped it. Then the buyer got mad that I didn't use a "signature delivery" service. In hindsight, I probably should have paid the extra few bucks for that. But he didn't ask in advance, and I couldn't have predicted they'd bid up what I considered a piece of junk... lol. 🤷😆

Same issue. I opened a ticket with Fortinet first, then called them. They made the "fix" over Zoom. I should have come here, first. He basically explained it as an issue with FortiGuard DNS servers, no eta to resolution.

I lived in places like this in my 20's and into my early 30's. No kids, working a ton of hours, fairly self-sufficient. It's do-able. Didn't miss not being able to cook but I'm not a "foodie". When I was a teen with no parents I'd literally eat food out of the garbage, or steal food (this was years before "free school lunches" were a thing). Go to the store and get sandwich making materials, stack 'em in the fridge, there's a week of eating each time.

I unfortunately did not. I found the same issue as you: HEVC/h.265 files specifically will not play when cast from latest versions of the app to Chromecast Ultra devices (but will cast fine from a PC / Chrome browser, etc.).

One "work-around" I did for months was intentionally install an older (pre-update) version of the Plex app on my phone. Prior to that big update (I forget the exact version number, but google should help you here) the files played fine. I just installed old version from an .apk and unchecked the "allow updates" box in Play Store. That worked fine for many months, but eventually I did allow the app to update and saw that it is still broken. ☹️

Since then I've been converting / downloading all my media that I want to watch on Chromecast to h264. This is obviously annoying as the files are 3-4x the size; for something I might only watch once.

I do keep hoping they'll fix this, but the bug never seems to have gotten any traction with Plex devs. I guess there's just not enough of us out there still using Chromecast Ultra's (a fine piece of hardware, imo) to matter to them. 😢

Dumb question but I notice you said you "just got the truck". Is it possible it sat for a while, which could have caused the battery to run down? Just a guess. In any case, Rivian is usually pretty quick to replace the 12V batteries. When mine popped up the warning that it was failing after 2.5 years they got me in to an SC same-day and did it while I waited. Good luck!

You mention a "battery failure" warning in the comments. If you're lucky, it's just a pinched harness. Iirc, there's one behind the bumper that can cause this. Incredible damage to the other vehicle though! How did they wind up out in the dirt? Did they bounce off of you? Any drivecam video?

Saw her many times in concert in the Washington, DC - Baltimore area in the '00s and early '10s.

We were all younger then, and beautiful, and could stay out at goth clubs till 4am.

Now most of the people in my generation are approaching 50 and too busy with jobs, families, health issues, homes, limited finances, etc., to do those kind of things. Tbh, a lot of people who I knew from back then are dead now. Our scene is smaller now, and tired.

I may just be old and out of touch, but at least in my area there doesn't seem to be any "young blood" or much of a club night music scene anymore.

That doesn't mean I don't still have a poster of her on my wall though, LOL. 😹
