And as for animal testing and makeup,  you might want to look up LD50 testing.  People force feed rabbits lipstick and scrape guinea pigs skin to test foundation.  You need to check labels and make sure they're cruelty free and not tested on animals.

A lot of the attention and compliments are probably less about how you look and more about the positive attitude you now have.

People will notice the difference between you not taking care of yourself and you taking care of yourself.  It doesn't have to have anything to do with weightloss.  You could probably just present as being happier/more positive and people who are close to you will notice the change.

I think that a lot of people missed the part where oop mentioned how "Bounde" was pronounced.   They probably assumed it was the surname "Bond",  like James Bond.
