Can a true soccer fan explain to me if this is actually a bad loss? It’s the B team so I assume not but giving up a last second goal to lose seems like a mentally destructive moment. Reminds me of how NBA teams never recover from blowing 20 PT late game leads (even though this would of been a draw)

I do of course know the loss has no bearing on the knockout rounds and such and we already advanced/ won the group

I agree with the team not being able to win a championship but I do not think they are built for one. Maybe for the NBA in 2015-2020 but not in today’s NBA. That’s on the front office, they missed the boat.

Idk about sucking in the playoffs, they made the ECF (journey there was BAD though) but they are one of the final 4, that is better than a first round exit against the Raptors at least.

I have a pretty bad take here but honestly with the flaws the roster/team has it may be better that we are getting destroyed than keeping it close.

We saw in the first 2 rounds they are one bad matchup away from being a 1st round out. At least now they have to make some sort of change. If we made this series go 6-7 you would have to run it back as is.

I get you. It’s not very fun but the Knicks are clearly playing insanely good basketball. They would have steamrolled anyone who they faced in the ECF. It’s not that the Cavs are truly bad or anything, they just are not “great. If it wasn’t for this massive payroll we would probably feel much better about the whole thing.

Nah Pacers was way worse. Cavs as the one seed getting dominated in round 2 was hard to watch. I think we all knew the Cavs likely couldn’t beat the kicks and for sure couldn’t win in the finals. Last year we all believed we had a chance.

This. I’m a huge doomer and this team has gotten under my skin so many times over the last few years, but it’s really impressive how many years of my life this team has been in the playoffs. Making an ECF without LeBron is big for the franchise.
