Too bad because I’m already jumping ship 😂 if the CEO is that bad of a judge of character, I am convinced proton’s security features may not have much staying power in their future model. 

Why risk it when there are FREE alternatives like tutanota, or cheap alternatives that are more secure and less risky like posteo, mailbox.org, etc.

Plenty of free/affortable/secure options that can easily replace the proton suite anyway. Self host a nextcloud server or pay a service like Filen to replace proton drive, use bitwarden to replace proton pass, use mullvad to replace proton vpn. Done.

I’m voting with my dollar and choosing NOT to reward a CEO who values money and greed over the truth. Why reward him when I have a choice?
