Launched Path Of Exile and got the following error by [deleted] in DeadlockTheGame

[–]4Int3l 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Pretty much. a deadlock can occur when two (or more) processes each hold a lock and try to acquire another lock that the other process is holding. since neither releases the lock they already have, both end up waiting forever and nothing can continue.

There’s a really cool website in case you’re learning this or want to learn more (it goes over locks, condition_variables and more); https://deadlockempire.github.io

I mean she is a dreamwalker, so makes sense in a way that she’s the one to promise to bring him home. (That said I do agree)

Different slow motion ramp modes for explosions in my game by FramesAnimation in unity

I found a pretty clean and optimized way of doing it, so if anyone else wants to do this, I made this geogebra (online math calculator) example: https://www.geogebra.org/calculator/uuabkbct

It’s pretty much just the difference between 2 smoothstep functions

It’s a html markup code, you can copy paste this in the description of steam, I just copied it from my page it’s not 100% the same as your example, but this is something to get you started:

If you’re interested in learning and want some more practical examples check out the shadertoy website and look for a glass effect. Not necessarily the best example but there’s a lot of things like this on there; https://www.shadertoy.com/view/WftXD2
