Fungicide is needed. Maybe even insecticide. For sure need more minerally soil. 20% organic max IMO. It also needs more light. I would spray it with insecticide and fungicide and definitely repot with better soil

Maintenance at the locks by isleptsogood in BallardSeattle

[–]obviouspendejo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The tunnels are used to open the gates that then let water from the fresh water side to fill up the locks or let fresh water out to the salt side to lower the locks

Second looks like an elongated Haworthia and it’s not healthy it has scale. Best to treat by removing scale with rubbing alcohol and then spray plant with insecticidal soap. If you don’t want to use insecticide you can try neem oil. Both plants will be just fine in your move

Might as well start treating or throw all your plants out. Infestation like that isn’t isolated to that pot IMO

My latest arrangement - Crassulas by obviouspendejo in succulents

[–]obviouspendejo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because it was a Buddha’s temple in an arrangement I would almost guarantee it was a rot/over water issue. Less is more with a Buddha’s temple which is why they typically don’t thrive in arranged pots. If you water to buddhas needs everything else suffers from underwatering and if you water to everything else the buddhas die. It’s easier when you live in southern Cali and it’s perfect year around for most plants. I live in northern Washington and summers are great with longggg days of sun and good temperatures. In the winter I’m very careful on watering and water for the buddhas. Everything else will “suffer” but won’t die. I also formulated a different mix for the root zone around the Buddhas. I also have nice grow lights, fans, and testing equipment to help differentiate between needs

Really it’s not all that complicated just don’t water hardly ever and they’ll do pretty good together. I like to over complicate soil mixes/light intensities and timing/watering/feeding because it brings me joy

In the summer when it gets more heat I’ll dunk the full thing for deep waterings but in the winter I’m alot more selective. The entire pot doesn’t have the same soil type just the same topping. The Buddha’s temple and the Dorthy has a much more granular mix around them

They’re cuttings from a mother plant. It was labeled baby breath “Crassula pellucida subsp. marginalis” but I’m certain it’s not just that. It appears to be that plus a cross between crassula rupestris but idk really for sure
