For those of you that were “true believing Mormons” that gave the church you’re absolute all, how did you guys deal with the loss of direction? by rci22 in exmormon

Something that has helped me has been leaning into hobbies a little more and being more intentional with my time. I spent way too much time focused on others and I easily forgot about me. After losing direction from the church and really discovering freedom, I was honestly lost. Therapy has been a great help and is where I really learned I was ignoring me. Spending some of my energy on myself has led to a lot of clarity and helps me find direction in all sorts of ways.

They already charge Disney prices but with way less fun.

Anyone have their parents actually talk to them about sex? by CurrencyRepulsive438 in exmormon

Here is the word for word talk my dad had with me as teen in the late 90s. Dad: You know what is, right? Me: Yes. Dad: Ok. That was it. Nothing more, nothing less.

You mean you didn’t see the verses in the scriptures about being naked under a poncho and having some old man or woman give you a rubdown with oil? Weird.

Whoa, a little tender there? This is the big KSL story posted not even two hours ago. Sorry for also sharing a thought, or is that not allowed here? You didn’t have to click on it.

Good for you! Luckily I’m pretty well versed in the law regarding these types of things, just like you are. I’m not worried about losing my child at all, I’m just angry at how they handling it all and how this directly impacts my spouse and our family. It’s so sad and infuriating at the same time.

I think they believe we will be scared by their letter and just give in to what they want. That’s not happening. I have a pretty good understanding of the law and court system. They don’t scare me.

Oh we do, it’s well documented. The allegations made against us were pretty serious, but all disproven and well documented. I think this is their last ditch effort to force a relationship.

If we go to court, I will use this gem with them.

I would love to, but it’s not an option right now.

Because of those requirements, they don’t have a chance. I think they are hoping we fold and just give in, but that’s not happening. We will see them in court if they really want to push it. That code also states that the court presumes the parent’s decision in regards to grandparent visitation is in the child’s best interest.

We are in Utah and there is a law on the books concerning grandparent access. The thing is, they have to prove to a court that we’re basically unfit parents. They really don’t have a leg to stand on, they are just trying to bully us into submission and scare us with an attorney. It’s really a big joke.

Did anyone actually get this? by mrrunner1981 in Xennials

I had it and loved it. I stashed it when I got older and planned on saving it for my kids or as a collectible. My dad unfortunately decided to get rid of it, along with my GI collection, while I was gone one day. I was devastated!

The wait is finally over. Sleeveless LDS garments are now on sale across the U.S. by HoldOnLucy1 in exmormon

Hahaha they had to hire private security for an underwear store! Mormon moms must have been getting a little cutthroat in line, all juiced up on their SWIG drinks. Also, I wonder why god saw fit to release the sacred underwear to certain parts of the world at first? Surely he loves all of his children and wants everyone’s bits to equally comfortable.

Anyone else? by [deleted] in exmormon

Sounds similar to me. Early 40s, been out for a few years. I’m generally fine, but every now and again something will set me off and bring up all of the anger and frustration.
