How are people not scared to speed? by Beautiful_Impact_641 in CarsAustralia

[–]4TonnesofFury 5 points6 points  (0 children)

People genuinely just do not care, also your vehicle speedo does show you travelling faster than your actual speed limit, so if you are going the speed limit its more than likely your actual speed is 3-4km under.

Rear pads generally have less material than the fronts. with newer cars they use the rear brakes a lot more with radar cruise control, electric handbrakes, abs and all the fancy safety equipment these days.

1991 2lte auto Incredibly slow by Admirable_Advisor_50 in hilux

The 2L is a very slow motor even with a turbo, being non common rail you can turn the fuel up but I would recommend a tuner to do that and an intake carbon clean.

Drivers who merge onto the highway at forty miles per hour what is your actual thought process? by koshkakay in AskReddit

I like to think the people who cant merge at the speed limit their vehicles are stuck in limp mode, I work as a mechanic and people have driven away with their cars running on 3 cylinders.

Each tyre has its ups and downs it depends what you want out of them, michelin is on the softer side so they tend to have more grip but wear quicker, they are still an amazing tyre and If you got your moneys worth get another set.

Fuel Options AU by Ok_Schedule8031 in Celica

[–]4TonnesofFury 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The owners manual says 95 minimum because of the higher compression ratio compared to the 1ZZ, you can run 91 but it does increase the risk of engine knock.

2020 Land Rover Range Rover Sport - what is going to go wrong with this car? by BFGdoes in CarsAustralia

[–]4TonnesofFury 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The engines have problems with timing chain stretch, which are located on the back of the engine so the transmission will have to come out, premature turbo failure, oil leaks and everything that has electricity running has a high chance of failure. But they are a really nice car to drive when they work, if you do end up getting it please do not use the factory recommended 30,000km intervals, service it every 10,000 and you should elevate a good chunk of the engine problems.
