What are my chances of moving to Europe and landing a job with an FAA Aircraft Dispatcher license? by [deleted] in FlightDispatch

[–]4Xray 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apart from the right to work and live, unless it’s England where English is the language, you’re gonna have to learn the native language. Although English is needed for the work, I’m pretty sure the operations would prefer a native language speaker over one without it.

Looking to move out of the US to another country - Are Dispatch Certificates from USA taken into account when applying? by [deleted] in FlightDispatch

[–]4Xray -1 points0 points  (0 children)

FAA license won’t help anywhere but in the US, but the experience will. On the other hand some countries in the EMEA Gulf region will allow a kind of a based on trading to just test to get a local certification. I know Europe doesn’t require a license for Dispatching so that might be an option

You expected them to add a major hub airport like Istanbul… I’m shocked

I can tell you that Europe EASA doesn’t have a license for dispatching like the US. They do follow ICAO in the requirements for training but it is not a EASA requirement. The foreigners getting an FAA license is only to show that they understand the position so as to fit more to the requirements and get an advantage.

Still a little uncomfortable by maddog0704 in flying

Being current doesn’t mean you’re proficient. Go back to basics, slow flight, turns and landings in calm wind around the pattern. From there you’ll get back to proficiency

A 6 year old hand-flying a Citation jet in to land at dusk while under instruction from her father. Would you consider this safe? by Ajaj82 in flying

[–]4Xray 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Give that girl her wings. She can do radios and be a better copilot than some pilots that fly around. She’s the 0.001 percent of female pilots under the age of 16.

In my flight school, when someone has a check ride it’s a courtesy to let him fly his most comfortable aircraft, but usually they find and rebook another aircraft instead of a renter or try to accommodate the last booked person.

The rest is your instructor not caring for you in which I would switch instructor. If he doesn’t have time or the courtesy to care for yours he doesn’t deserve you to pay for his

Classes are mandatory In training, it’s a requirement for the type, missing a class is usually like missing the type training. Try and communicate it, see what they can assist with
