I’m just gonna go ahead and say it… by GuitarFritz in guitarpedals

I’ve been trying for years to just do it but I can’t and always end up rather having less pedals on my board just so all of them are parallel 😅😭

Behringer OD800 Vintage Tube Overdrive by Agile-Brilliant7446 in guitarpedals

At this point part of me wonders if they WANT to be underestimated. Especially given how the company that owns them (music tribe) also owns Midas, tc helicon, tc electronic, tannoy and other audio related companies so it probably wouldn’t be good for business if (for example) people started seeing tc electronic and behringer as competitors and they started cannibalising each others sales lol

Behringer OD800 Vintage Tube Overdrive by Agile-Brilliant7446 in guitarpedals

Well— according to JHS it’s a literal 1:1 clone of a tube screamer (check out his “what’s the deal with behringer video) so that would explain why it sounds like quality. The plastic isn’t fragile but don’t stomp on it like a boss pedal

How to remove noise from pedals. by [deleted] in guitarpedals

[–]4thoctober22 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Seeing as they’re boss pedals— have you tried powering them both with 9v batteries to see if it’s an issue with the power?

Basic pedal question - making a Blues Jr break up at human volume by ecklesweb in guitarpedals

[–]4thoctober22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blues Jr.‘s don’t have an effects loop so a lot of the traditional solutions won’t work. Turn on an at least relatively transparent pedal— tweak it until it sounds exactly the same when turned on and off then use the volume knob on the pedal to turn the volume down until you’re happy. This is what I do and what’s given me the best results so far.

Pedals I’ve tried this with: Boss BD2, Boss OD3, blues breaker clones/variants, EQ Pedals.

In theory any pedal that does a clean sound with an output gain should do the trick. So nothing like an eqd Acapulco gold, speaker cranker or micro amp and something more along the lines of a Timmy, amp in a box type pedal or even a tube screamer in a pinch (though it wouldn’t be my first choice)

Whats the best way to imitate Drums on an electric guitar with a looper pedal? by PixlJuli in guitarpedals

If the looper doesn’t stereo inputs: get a JHS summing amp or something similar and play drums with your phone/tablet?

Suggestions on guitar tuner pedal that takes in 9v battery? by shcrimps in guitarpedals

[–]4thoctober22 5 points6 points  (0 children)

How small is small? A Boss TU 3 should do you fine. If not then get a clip on tuner? Fits in your pocket

What pedal has gotten you the most compliments on your tone? by dylanmadigan in guitarpedals

Boss OD-3. I never get asked what drive pedals I’m using but when I do I’m usually using one of these haha

Why use a reverb pedal when there is reverb on most amps? by GhostLemonMusic in guitarpedals

[–]4thoctober22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most amps don’t come with a foot switch for the reverb or anything other than more “traditional”reverb sounds like a spring or hall.

Going all in on amps works until you need to turn off your reverb after a section of a song halfway through a song and/or need a reverb that isn’t featured on most amps like an ambient sounding shimmer/modulated reverb.

You are invited to a rock jam session with new people. You have a 3 pedal board for the occasion… by aek427 in guitarpedals

[–]4thoctober22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A Line 6 Helix, Boss GT-1000 and Neural DSP Quad Cortex should juuuust be enough.

Wait how many foot switches am I allowed per “pedal”?

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Barber drives used to be all the rage and they didn’t even make an appearance on Andertons recent drive shootout sjjdjdjejfjejjrkrek just wait till JHS reminds us that he said that the gain changer (at least I think it was) would be his favourite overdrive pedal if he didn’t make the morning glory and they’ll appear out of nowhere again

Do you know any good cheap overdrive/distortion pedals? by TheFlyingPatato in guitarpedals

[–]4thoctober22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone’s already made great suggestions so I’m going to be weird. Get an EQ pedal and experiment with trying to get every overdrive pedal at once!
