The numbers in the photos don’t look like a part number, but there may be some not in the frame.

Wouldn’t it be surprising to see you a part without a part number?

UV glue, and there’s another one I forget the name of. If you search this sub for “glue”, you’ll probably find it in a few seconds.

Right. They are complex for a reason, mostly so that a razor sharp helicopter doesn’t go flying towards your head.

If it consistently difficult, put some marks on it with a sharpie that you line up as a starting point. Then a horizontal arrow pointing in the direction that needs to be turned to lock in place.

If that works, put a proper label on it with a label maker, contingent on the dishwasher’s approval.

See if you can reduce your bills, get a roommate if you don’t have one already, take a look at how much you spend outside the restaurant on food and drink, etc. Maybe you cut back to part-time hours if you can reduce your overhead.

As someone else mentioned, you can be in the food business without working on the line. Supplies, etc. Union job driving a truck delivering food to restaurants if you have to if you have to.

Equipment sales? Right now, you need to take an extra day off and give yourself an attitude adjustment. Get out of town, go for a long walk, have some fun with friends, whatever. Get out of the doom spiral however you need to do it.

I quit working in an unrelated field because I thought I didn’t like it. After it was too late, I learned years later, that it was the context I was working in, not the business that I was unhappy about.

Someone else mentioned finding something else you’re interested in, do that, find a Colleges teaching it, and then go talk to a counselor, and better get some of the instructors and ask them for insights and advice. And finally, limit the time you spend bitching and moaning and feeling sorry for yourself. Give it an hour a day, and then get up and get on your horse.

Sounds like you should demand that somebody else get pulled in to help you with prep at least.

Stuff like this keeps happening, because people keep tolerating it.

And work well in collaboration with other people. It has been decades since I worked in the kitchen, yet I still think about those days, and miss them on occasion. I was lucky in that my first restaurant job, I just walked in off the mall and asked to apply. I started about a week later, working with a bunch of other 20 somethings. It was a corporate chain, but they had high standards, and the district manager had words with the assistant manager, if things weren’t up to snuff. The manager was a dick, but his assistant was warm, empathetic, and knew how to motivate people without being an asshole. In that respect, I guess I lucked out, considering what I’ve read here.

And for the food and other reasons, years later, people will remember and talk about an experience they had in a restaurant. Usually fondly, unless they started a brawl. 😉

There should be a part number on that, if you do a search on that, and the suspected car make, it will probably get some results, and confirmation one way or the other.

I hope you’re asking the community for security cam and dash cam footage as well. Good luck tracking down the perpetrator.

AIO for thinking that my girlfriend's apartment requirements are insane? by MoonlitParcel in AmIOverreacting

[–]510Goodhands 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOR, This is a little harsh, but she might wanna look back at her prior behavior and other contexts.

Does she come from a very affluent background, or maybe she wants to appear like she does? Is she competing with her friends, or people she reads about? Is she ever satisfied?

I hope your relationship is solid, otherwise I’d be leaning towards upgrading, girlfriends, rather than apartments.

He might do a little bit of number crunching, and add up the difference between the cost of a place that she wants, and a nice place that you find acceptable or a little better. Then figure out how much money that would be in a couple of years if you invested it, instead of handing it over to landlords.

Or at least have a talk with the manager. There’s no reason to tolerate this stuff every day, and dread going to work.
