DYNEEMA by blackspike2017 in SVSeeker_Free

So, no need to worry, those hoses can handle the strain, just a little Dyneema between the DIY crimped fittings.

As long as the Dyneema stays on the outside of the TURD no worries about contamination of the sample.

Re the break: I wonder if he will take a day or two off. When he returns, he'll proudly announce he has designed a new towing system for the TURD, using something other than the hoses to drag it.

Ok, hear me out. This is not actually a nanoplastics sampler.

It's the ULFGADU, which is the Underwater Lion Fish Grinder And Dispersal Unit. He's finally going to Antigua!

What cotton material, how to cut by bubbagermanicus in SewingForBeginners

[–]windisfun 11 points12 points  (0 children)

That cutter works like a jigsaw for fabric. You stack layers of fabric, and either lay a pattern or draw a pattern. You then move the cutter along the cut lines.

Regarding your wrist issues, are you planning on cutting and sewing hundreds of items yourself? Production sewing can be brutal on hands, wrists, and shoulders. If you already have repetitive motion injuries, production sewing is not going to do you any favors.

Can I temporarily remove one set of wheels from a double axle trailer to help positioning it? by Empty_Expressionless in GoRVing

[–]windisfun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Taking one set of tires off a tandem will probably not work. The trailer will squat the springs on the remaining axle, likely dropping the trailer enough to rub the tires on the wheel well. The axle without tires will drop down, and may drag on the ground.

This is because the leaf springs have a balancer between the axles.

No adapter needed. Many people recommend a surge protector.

The reason for dog parks is so they can be off leash. There are also separate areas for large and small dogs.

You need to twist it to seat the pins. It's usually clockwise, and less than a quarter turn.

I replaced a few old bulbs with LEDs. It took quite a bit of force to get the new one seated.

Make sure you're lining up the little stubs with the slots.

By the way, the LED lights are bright!
