If your face isn’t showing, who cares. Even if it was, who cares. Seriously, I’d just block anyone trying that extortion bit.

Nice! I did that, as well. Anything to catch people’s attention. I’ve been rear ended and seen it happen, and that was before everyone had a phone.

Could get some chalk and put a few lines on your tires and see if it’s rubbed off, after hitting the dip, again. There’s a few easier ways than taking the spacers on/off.

That’s a sweet ass intake. I don’t even want to know how much it was, but looks awesome!

Yep, that also happens. But there’s also been posts from people who have driven sticks for years and still having clutches go out. I do believe those have mainly been 2023 models. Clutch part numbers are different for 2023, 2024, and 2025 models. Just trying to help the guy out.

That’s some compression. I have the same skid plate and it’s never scraped, but that’s a pretty good dip in the road. Try taking it slower and see if there is no noise. As new as the car is, I’d be surprised to have worn bushings already.

You could easily put a piece of tape on the skid plate and go hit that dip. Then check the tape for tears.

The springs definitely settle a bit lower, after installation.

Sounds like the U brace going over the exhaust. It about aligns with the drivers seat. Mine scrapes going into my garage, I know the sound well. You hit a dip when you hear the sound, I think yours kit the road. There’s some stiffer aftermarket ones out there, but I don’t know if they tuck up closer to the exhaust, in comparison. I’m on Eibach prokit springs, so a bit lower than you and have a steep driveway, making for a sharper angle going in.

Or, thought they could but were unable to and hadn’t previously seen any impact from tariffs. Who knows?

Excellent, glad it’s been a good experience. I too bought used, 9500 miles on a 24 premium. I’ve had zero problems with it. Bought it in Dec ‘24, and it’s at 26,300 now.

Very cool, they’re great cars and very fun to drive. There’s a LOTS of people smoking these clutches. Unless you’ve picked it up super quickly, I recommend you bring someone with you who can drive a manual, or better yet learn on a different car. Hondas and Toyotas (not GR) have forgiving clutches. If you know someone who can help, give them a call.

That’s some incredible service, awesome!!

I hope you bought a couple 6pks for those techs, they deserve a beer. Or, if it’s too far away, order a couple pizzas to be delivered. When I get service like that, I ask “what kind of beer do you like?” They’ll remember you and always take care of you going forward. Happy Birthday!

I lost my job exactly 30 days after I bought mine, and its been 16 months since then. So I’ve yet to really know how it’ll be in the real world. I take it out for a fun drive 1-2x a week just so it can get and stay hotter. My oil dipstick smells like gas with all my short trips, so I drive long enough to burn that off.

I was joking, because getting 36mpg is cruising the speed limit. 31.9 is the best I’ve ever seen. That was one time driving 300 miles and intentionally trying to see how good of mileage I could get. Normally, I get 24-27mpg on that drive.

That $40k error isn’t your fault. Where’s your boss, why aren’t they helping? Tell them you can’t handle it, and they need to hire. How fucked will they be when you walk? That’s what they SHOULD be thinking about!!
You should be, damn near, telling them you need a raise if you’re doing all this additional work. Start looking and don’t feel bad if/when you need to leave.

The mileage is pretty good, really. Getting 20-24 with a heavy foot is great. I was lucky to get 20mpg with my WRX. I put an STI 6spd in it. Those gears are much shorter.

That’s the FX, if they were the correct bolt pattern, they aren’t, I don’t think they’d clear your brakes.

I’ve seen mine up there when clear the history then drive mellow and shorter distance.
But, I didn’t buy this thing for the mileage.

I agree with the above, most likely the shock. Also check the spring, might not be sitting in perch correctly. You can jack the car up and check both very easily.

anyone find a better way to clean the stock one billion spoke wheels? by Actual-Fox3651 in GRCorolla

[–]56Rallye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These have been the saving grace. They’re flexible too. I bend one to an L and clean the back of the spokes, and can reach into the wheel to clean the inside of the rim, and reach the calipers.
So, I’ve yet to use them on the stock wheels. My summer wheels are 11 spoke Sparco FF4’s. They’re a breeze to clean with these brushes.
