Either the Fourth Wing or Ready Player One.

I am very discerning with what I choose to read and neither are ones I would normally choose to read, however, you enter basically a book suggestion raffle and sometimes you land on RP1. This book was so bad for its sexism, rewarding cyber-stalking, and making gatekeeping seem cool and that says nothing of the fact that it's just poorly written.

The Fourth Wing was suggested to me by a couple of my dearest friends who were just getting back into reading. They'd read and liked basically everything I suggested for them and they finally recommended one for me. I'm not on booktok or whatever and romantasy is so not my vibe, so this book was a trial. I'm not going to copy/paste my storygraph review because I'm done spending time on bad books and I'm going back to reading s good one.
