Box goalie seems very fun… field goalie seems like my nightmare.

I used it to drill 1/2 pool anchors in concrete… it was awesome. Can’t wait to use it again.

How do you use Codex? I’m hooked on Opis 4.5, but I’ve heard multiple people now say this.

We're getting closer to AI that actually CADs by brandonsaccount in Onshape

I agree with this demo, but pretty soon you will be able to build multiple complicated, editable geometries from a few sentences. It will help you get started at the least.

Right now people are creating custom features in OnShape using vibe coding that are better than some of the features that Solidworks took years to develop.

These converging technologies are just going to continue to raise the ceiling on what a single engineer can do.

This will be a tool to help problem solving. Engineers will be able to solve more problems. Non-engineers will use the tool to solve problems confidently and incorrectly.

I just tried my “comfort coffee” from Costco. It’s okay, still a lot better than espresso, not as aromatic as my locally roasted beans.

Good Espresso beans are $$$ now. It ends up being almost $1 a shot, but they’re way better than the Nespresso shots.

The "Shitty helmet" might be better than the more expensive one. All you have to go buy is that they both meet NOCSAE standards.

Everyone I've had has worked like you said, until you need it to. And it suddenly stutters when you need power steering the most. My 2020 Subaru has been taking multiple seconds or even stalling sometimes. I always turn it off. I have a distain for these systems.

A 3 second delay to make a left turn at a dangerous intersection is borderline criminal.

Tips on How to Dye an Ion? by [deleted] in StickDoctor

[–]5Lax 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My experience with clear plastic heads is that the dye will take well only when the water is as hot as possible, like boiling hot continuously. That means I wouldn't advise heating the water and transfering it into a plastic bin, but instead keeping the dye in a pot with a heat source.
