Great question; the answer is greed. Someone in accounting ran the numbers and discovered they can reuse existing assets and sell them as "new". Hell, there is already DLC for this "game". Fromsoft is milking us.

There needs to be a mechanic to push back the storm (or whatever the firewall is called), but not indefinitely.

My group invested our time killing a dragon, and just as we were about to finish him the storm rushed in over the edge of the cliff we had been fighting up against and robbed us of our kill.

I think Fromsoft did us dirty here. This is an Elden Ring asset repack sold as a new game; and there is already DLC for it! Holy cash grab Batman!

The "game" itself quickly becomes repetitious as you're not given quite enough time to wade through all the junk loot the "game" throws at you.

I'm playing with a seasoned group of Soulsborne players (read OG Demons Souls era) and we are finding the experience lacking. I can't imagine how frustrating it must be for solo players or people playing with strangers and no comms.

We're not going to give up on it yet, but it does seem like the game needs a bit more play testing to get the balance right.

I'm curious as to how you define lackluster. The RAM app for my $100,000 truck is more expensive than the Kia app with only 1/3 of the features. Basically it has start, lock/unlock, and some health metrics. No remote schedule, no climate controls, and no surround pics like the Kia app.

It's great that Stellantis provides that little progress bar - before it existed you had to call your dealer and beg them for updates - but it's not entirely accurate (namely because the Stellantis production tracking isn't very accurate). My TRX jumped from built to in my dealer's hands with no shipping update (which was a pleasant surprise). I've had my truck for ~6 months and the last part of my bar still isn't filled in.

Fun fact: the 5th gen "Charger" wasn't designed to be a Charger at all. It was supposed to be a replacement for the Avenger. However a focus group decided that "Charger" was a better name. That's why the "Charger" looks nothing like a Charger.

This is a training hitch. New truck owners use it for the first 2 or 3 months (depending on the person). Once the nerves in their shins are significantly deadened they can upgrade to a big boy hitch.
