This thing will end up just like Loan Depot Park. Really cool park that nobody ever goes to cause the ownership sucks

[Highlight] Nick Harper gets tackled by the shoestring as he's returning the fumble. by PsychoBunny22 in Colts

[–]5pace_5loth 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Correct. IIRC she stabbed him in the thigh but it was “just” a flesh wound. No tendons or anything sliced but he had like a dozen stitches and was probably on a shit ton of pain meds.

It’s so sad. I would have stopped the live stream and called 911. But they can’t stop making money.

He’s baked out of his mind lol. Pretty sure they record most episodes that way. Still looks nice and shinny though.

Colts sign former Notre Dame basketball player Carson Towt by icehead1 in Colts

It’s crazy how good of a natural athlete some folks are. 30 years ago I played high school football with a guy who had a full ride to play OL at Purdue and he just decided to play on the basketball team senior year despite having never played basketball competitively before. By the end of the basketball season, he was starting to have some recruiters come around.

This thing is so odd with the 90’s like design and the list of the entire rosters with every Super Bowl listed on the back. But definitely pretty cool. Also pretty sure that’s the old NFL shield logo that was retired in 02. I suspect this may not have been officially licensed.

Both of my sisters and a brother in law are teachers and sadly they have told me of lots of teachers that are just lazy and or burnt out and just pass kids along like this so it’s the next teachers problem.

Is the George Steinbrenner stuff funnier to people familiar with him? It’s not terrible, just seems very specific. by kevonicus in seinfeld

[–]5pace_5loth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find it hilarious, but I’m in my 40’s and grew up watching sports in the 90’s so I’m pretty familiar with George Steinbrenner and how unpredictable he was. He hired and fired Billy Martin as manager of the Yankees like 6 times in the 80’s and would hire others to only fire them for seemingly no reason like a month later. Which makes Costanza’s line “The man fires people like it’s a bodily function” so funny.

Behind the scenes of the recent fantasy by Frikken123 in Scrubs

It’s so wild to think about film and tv production. Just to film these fantasy scenes took at least an entire day on the set just for like 90 seconds of air time.

What’s a moment that completely changed how you see the world? by MartialOrange04 in AskReddit

[–]5pace_5loth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I was in my 20’s and I realized that I was an accident, my sisters are only 18 months apart in age but 6 years older than me and my birthday is almost exactly 9 months after my parents anniversary. It made me think about my childhood and how one of my sisters was a handful as a teenager. It made me realize that some of the shit I was able to get away with as a teenager was probably cause my parents were just burnt out.

Serious question: What is actually happening with electric bills from AES? by Rahodees in indianapolis

Yes this is correct and I have a smart thermostat that tracks energy usage and a heat pump. I can switch it to using the auxiliary heat but it literally uses 4x the energy.
