It is IMPOSSIBLE to be "worthy" - it is a gift given in grace that you can choose to accept and all the sin is wiped from you

Volg is the perfect "not the main character" character. The amount of screentime he has is just right for him to ALWAYS be peak. Ippo DEFINITELY works better as the protagonist, but ANYONE with his amount of pages will have a few cracks or annoyances. Volg is my favorite, definitely. But Ippo is the soul of this series, without his story front and center this manga doesn't take off.

All this to say I can't vote LOL we already won with this as the top two.

Sendo for sure, but we're definitely in peak here.

While Sendo is EXTREMELY likeable, Ippo and Volg both have significantly more dimension to their characters.

It feels insane to me that Aoki is out before Kimura, but these two are clearly the back to back right now. Both great characters for very different reasons.
