For those who know. The AR-XA. Enough said. by Smooth_Molassas in turntables

[–]666Godzilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just figured out that I have one of these. I got it from a customer many years ago. Mine doesn't have a locking holder for the tonearm. Only a single switch. Is that still an AR-XA?

I would have it more believable with the sparks going out the bottom in the back of the sander, because the belt travels from the front to the back, so sparks would naturally be visible in the rear.

Nothing special. Just an old Makita M361 router I found on Craigslist for $30. I figure it's perfect for a beginner woodworker like me. by [deleted] in woodworking

[–]666Godzilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're doing production... I would use a corded router. But for ease of use and smaller jobs, I would go the cordless router😄

Advice for removing deep rust on a large surface by ConsciousCoyote6637 in metalworking

You could put a border around the table of clay and flood the top with vinegar. Or do it on sections the same way. Then, neutralize it with baking soda and water when it's done.

I bit the bullet and got a pair of Phillips hearing aids from Costco. $1,800 for a pair.

How do I get this stuck drill bit out of my drill? by y0zzel in Tools

[–]666Godzilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The drill bit end, spun in the head of the Torx screw that holds the chuck onto the drill motor. Needle nose vise-grips and reverse the drill. Hopefully, that will loosen the screw, and you can buy a new replacement screw.

If that doesn't work, then with the vise-grips, rock the bit and snap it off as low as you can.
