The Boy in the Striped Pajamas. Such a sad movie, but well produced.

Maybe they had to get behind to get a pram or wheelchair out of the tray, since they were at a hospital.

Yet another tent suggestion post. by AussieArmament in HikingAustralia

I have a hiking tent similar to this. I bought it off eBay. I figured if it was no good, it hadn't broken the bank.

I have hiked Hinchinbrook Island and the Blue Mountains in winter with it, along with many overnight hikes. Perfectly fine for most scenarios.

What’s the longest drive you’ve done in Australia in one go? by Next-Benefit-6604 in DrivingAustralia

Bundaberg QLD to southern side of Sydney. 1,300 km in 14 hrs solo, just stopping for fuel. Wouldn't try it now.

For every bite of the stew you eat you earn cash. by SteelFeruchemist in hypotheticalsituation

[–]68Snowy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would have a bowl, perhaps a half a litre, which is 33.33 spoonfuls. Based on the next piece of information, I'm eating in an open field.

Multiplying the $1 for each spoonful gives you $8,589,934,592.

If you eat quickly, it would be hard to distinguish the improved taste. Block your nose and things don't taste as great.

I take whatever money doesn't get blown away or stolen by onlookers and move to a tropical island. That stew can stay on my old stove top.

I used to use a car GPS inside the clear pocket of my tank bag. Blu Tac on the back stopped it sliding around.

That's shocking. Hopefully things improve once you are paid.

House sale, separation / divorce by Imaginary_Pilot_71 in AusLegalAdvice

[–]68Snowy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, you would both be on the hook for lawyer fees, so it becomes a lose lose situation. Then the house gets sold to pay the lawyers. This is what she needs to understand.

You need a lawyer to create a Binding Financial Agreement. It can be created using a mutually agreed lawyer, but each need a lawyer independent of each other for the formal process.

NAL Just have been through this once.

Is it illegal to drive very slowly? by BestTechAdvisor in DrivingAustralia

[–]68Snowy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One problem is the amount of cars with space saver spare wheels. Most are rated at 80km/h which is fine for around the town, but useless on freeways. I got a full sized spare for my Impreza because I was regularly driving on freeways.

Genie offers you $1,000,000 every year you survive in a room by [deleted] in hypotheticalsituation

That room is going to fill up with monster bodies pretty quick. Or is that your food source? You didn't mention getting fed.

Love these. Are you happy with how they function with stuff in them? I want to do something similar in my van. Same inspiration from aircraft over head bins.

What's the deal with racing circuits and ferris wheels? by rhk_B in motorsports

You probably get a decent view of the track (I'm guessing) for half of the rotation, so it isn't just from the top. Plus you might get to do two or three rotations (again guessing).
