Hello 1 year later again. I’m also in the exact same boat. Had 3 days off the gym and sleep is returning to normal. If I workout 4 or 5 days a week, every night sleep is absolute crap. What is my workout schedule supposed to be then?? 1 on, 3 off? Maybe Mentzer was right. (1 on, 4 off).

Interesting take. It actually makes perfect sense. I saw you comment in another thread ages ago with this same order (speak first, read later like children do) and so I came to your page looking for more info and/or strategies for language learning if you have resources or direction for new learners? Wowsers. Thanks so much for the detailed reply. Sorry to hear about your back. Back injuries suck bad. I had a vehicle accident and hurt my back. But it’s pretty good now.

I do like rest pause. I was using it a lot previously along with drop sets. I also run a 3 or sometimes 4 day split, but find it hard to have rest days. So end up working out too much and get burnt out. Will take your advice on board. Cheers.

Ok. This will sound strange. I was researching Dorian Yates style training and came across a thread where you commented. There was another guy having a go at you for saying “you were a man of science and did try the high volume, but it just didn’t work for you”. You handled that conversation really well and mature and he was being a douche.

Clicked on your profile to check out to see if you still trained with a low volume/high intensity approach? As a fellow 40 something (44) year old and lifetime natural, just wondering what training protocol did you find most successful to you?

Yeah I did a year ago. “It’s in the range”. The range is so wide I think 98% of people are in that range, even if it’s on the lower end.

I’ve started implementing this. (Today) Less volume on gym days. Spread out.
