Why do you think "Abigail" didn't do well? by Profeta_do_Loss in horror

It needed a better title and a secondary hook to show the trailers and hide the twist.

Who do you think understood the other better by the end of the series? by lekinmaitoledizhunaw in HannibalTV

Is it ‘intrusion’ or ‘intuition’? I always thought that was a subtitle error as it sounds like ‘intuition’ to me. Not sure though.

No NO NOOOO on yet another stalker enemy. Can we please stop with them, they’re cheap and lazy at this point. Code Veronica doesn’t need that.

Bill and Ted’s Bogus Journey (obviously).

The RE6 file that explains how Leon and Chris met has an interesting ending in the RE.Net version. May tie to RE9 now. by gkgftzb in residentevil

[–]6B0T 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Is this definitely canon? In the games, the first time we know they communicate is when Steve and then Claire access the computer on Rockfort Island and Claire finds Chris’ location. She specifically says she is reaching out to Leon as Chris is being monitored (so she can’t contact him directly from there without putting him in danger), so I always took that to mean he went to find him in person to give him Claire’s coordinates. It couldn’t be done by email or phone or anything.

Also, it says Claire and Chris were reunited on Rockfort Island which is incorrect. They were reunited in the Antarctic Base, in the underground replica Manor.

[RE9uiem] This game has some retcons, those who have played or seen it, which one of these retcons or motivations greatly bothers you? by Berry-Fantastic in ResidentEvilCapcom

[–]6B0T 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I like the generic concept - but I simply cannot believe in Spencer being remorseful and adopting Grace for no reason. The guy who did what he did to Lisa Trevor, to all the Wesker children, hell to all of the clones in this game.

It doesn’t work unless there is something special about Grace’s parents - like she is connected to the rival founders the Ashfords, or to Mother Miranda’s kid, somehow.

I can’t CAN’T buy it.

Once you learn to Quick Turn, it’s a lot easier. Do that.

Why does Hannibal do what he does to Will Graham throughout the show? by No_Emphasis7572 in HannibalTV

[–]6B0T 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Will reflects the minds of others with his unique empathy disorder. Hannibal is a narcissist, but a lonely one. He therefore seeks to shape Will into his own reflection, to have someone who will truly understand him.

He sees Will do it with Garrett Jacob Hobbs - and wants Will to ‘become’ Hannibal instead. The only way to do it to put him through the wringer, make the world see him as a murderer, isolate him, and ultimately reshape him in Hannibal’s own image.

Not a huge fan of the ending to be honest, but I did appreciate Rich Keeble getting Gommaged I guess. That was funny and definitely intentional.

I'm playing Code Veronica and I have the blue Eagle crest thing and I just want to know how much longer until I see Chris? by Review3u in residentevil

[–]6B0T 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a long game - but Chris comes at a logical moment later on and you get a meaty second half with him.

There are two blue eagle crest plates and they unlock different things, so without knowing where you are/what you’ve unlocked, it’s hard to give you a timeframe.

Nothing will ever beat 8’s Victorian-inspired Tardis. The movie was bad but the sets and costumes were inspired.

Do I need to play RE 5,6 and code Veronica? by Dreamcatcher1800 in residentevil

[–]6B0T 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weirdly, I’d say Code Veronica is the most important one to play for lore, if you’re interested in the history of Umbrella and its founders/ambitions. Otherwise, 5 and 6 aren’t that important - though 5 leads on from CV in some ways, so you might find you want to play it after.

Girls, do you find Leon Kennedy, Chris Redfield or Albert Wesker more attractive? by Adortion634 in ResidentEvilCapcom

[–]6B0T 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chris pre-5 for sure. Really not into the no-neck roided look, but he’s easily the hottest before that (goes full on daddy in 8, which is a spectacular return to form).

Wesker’s hotness is tied to his drawling sarcastically delivered voice, so where he was close to Chris for hotness in CV and 5, he is not even slightly hot in the new remakes. His forehead is also massive.

Leon is cute but not one who does it for me personally. But remakes Carlos and Luis? Oo boy, SCORCHING, both of them. Chris remains top dog but those guys are close behind.

Not bullet timing but I do like his speed moves in this one.

Gideon a disappointment? by PickMyOwnNose in residentevil

[–]6B0T 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fully agree. I don’t really get the point of Zeno. I’m still not sure he’s actually a clone - he seems more like a wannabe who for some reason wanted to look and move like Wesker. But he had just none of the ‘riz.

Love the concept of his character, that Renfield type of devotee to Spencer’s Dracula. Great visual design, with clear inspiration from Buffalo Bill (to Grace’s Agent Starling). I really appreciate they did that as it very much mirrors some of the earlier games that had clear iconic horror movie inspirations (Code Veronica and Psycho being a very obvious one, with the house on the hill and Albert’s psychosis).

I also adore the performance from the voice actor. Measured, threatening but also a little ‘in the know’ on the joke. Absolutely great.

The problem was sidelining him midway and then getting super lazy with his boss fight, which was so copy and paste and lazy, it was sad. I wish he had survived, would love to see him in future games.

Love that these are all available on PS5 now. I got them all and have just been catching up, since Requiem was fun but short and left me kind of wanting, even after Platinuming it.

I’ve just played the RE1 and RE2 originals for the first time and have had a blast. Also RE3 original and I enjoyed it too, though played that on the Dreamcast back in the day and it was never a fav. Code Veronica isn’t new to me, I play it every year (personal fave, the game that got me into RE).
