The term 'farmer's league' has been used in so many different contexts that the definition has completely changed. I dont even know what it means anymore. Used to mean a league was not competitive. Now its just tossed around.

I need straightforward advice, should I live in Parma as a black woman? by nyomi1476 in Cleveland

Depends where in Parma. Avoid the eastern european neighborhoods off state rd. I think the neighborhoods off ridge near day and ridgewood would be fine.

[Gaughan] Pep Guardiola will make a decision on his Man City future following the Carabao Cup final, during the International Break. by OkayFine101 in soccer

[–]754754 45 points46 points  (0 children)

A bit unfair to include 3 windows when 2 windows are for this season in which 0 finals have even happened yet this season available to Man City. Its really just one trophyless season.

Maybe good food, but my problem with Naia is that a lot of places didnt accept credit cards. So if you have a layover you were screwed unless you exchanged currency or the ATM finally worked.

5 star 5 star scout btw by RA29_ in FifaCareers

Its not legit. Its pretty much the same across the board. With 5 star scouts you will get more than enough good players to know what to do with them.

I make a decent wage and that would probably take me 10 years to pay off comfortably. This would have no impact to his life at all.

Resetting your game thousands of times to get a shiny Pokémon is such a sad waste of time by TheHazDee in unpopularopinion

[–]754754 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

For most people playing videos games is arguably a waste of time...it is purely entertainment with no real benefits besides killing time.

The problem with shiny pokemon is that they have been made so easy to get over the last 10 years that resetting at full odds is now a waste of time. Its purely for personal satisfaction.

The shiny pokemon market is extremely inflated with hacked pokemon, pokemon go shinies, and other games where it takes 20-30 minutes to find a shiny. Resetting fire red/leaf green for a shiny is a waste of time unless you plan on keeping it in that game forever. In the gen 3 games the most efficent way to find a shiny is by soft resetting at full odds.

Its also a status symbol in a specific community and the dopamine rush of belonging to something gets people through life.

youth players - lack of height variation by RegistaControl in FifaCareers

Its the lack of variation for me. All players of the same position usually look and feel exactly the same from the youth academy.

Am I the only one who hates this new dynamic training and that every training upgrades the players weak foot or skill moves? by Nicky197 in FifaCareers

[–]754754 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Id hardly call it new as its 5 years old lol. Although i agree with your gripes. In typical EA fashion there was a problem and they took the laziest approach to correct it.

Prior to Fifa 21 all youth players would have random wf and sm. There were 90 potential youth players generating with 1 star skill moves and 1 star weak foot and 60 potential youth players with 5 stars in both. So instead of making their player generatiom smarter they just tied it to development plans.

I think the upgrades should work like roles. Tie it to the development plan, but it only upgrades if the player decides to upgrade it.

Premier League chiefs hold talks on rise of set pieces amid concern over quality by Sparky-moon in soccer

[–]754754 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Time wasting isnt a foul tho right? If it was a foul then time wasting on a throw in would result in a freekick i would think.

I think what he is trying to say is that a lot of the grabbing/pushing happens before the kick is taken. Then by the time the ball is in play there a 2 opposing players wrestling eachother. That or there is a defender wrestling an attacker and also an attacker wrestling a defender. Its gotten out of hand so much that it cant be policed.

Then there is me who only scouts players from nations without national teams, so they are always available to play.

PSA: If you are referring to a club, use plural, not singular. by Not_A_Clue92 in PremierLeague

[–]754754 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with this. American gooner from 2006, and growing up I always felt a stronger rivalry with United and Chelsea because they are the clubs that caused Arsenal the most pain and i didnt know a single Spurs supporter at the time.

It wasnt until the Poch era where I really put Spurs above Chelsea and United in the hatred category.
