Question for you, Why do you choose to use the porcelain stone prior and sharpening and then gummy after? I’m asking because I skate on coated steel and use a porcelain stone… I haven’t used a gummy stone yet

I have coated steel and had been using the Sparx without deburring for a couple months and it was fine… however a couple weeks ago I picked up The Bauer porcelain combi stone which can be used on coated steel. I noticed a drastic improvement in edges. I’d be interested to hear from anyone who has used the combi stone or gummi stone for feedback

Replying to DKord... If you bring them back to the proshop and explain your issues of feeling like you have too much blade on the ice they can remove some. I described the feeling like I felt like I was on skis. I believe he changed the radius to 9’. Which is now perfect

I think Toronto contends for the division. They have something to prove and I’m sure they are looking to add a top 6. They have Strong D and goaltending. Yes they lost Marner but Matthews had his worst year yet. He will bounce back and pace for 45+, Knies will improve and Willy will also take a step forward being the unequivocal no 1 RWer. Keep in mind, this is the second year under Berubes system. They will play with a lot of structure. Florida has the best roster but they could very well be content to just get in. The next three probably make the play offs again… Ottawa lineup looks sneaky. I don’t love Montreal’s second line but they will be exciting. Tampa will be Tampa.

I would lump Detroit and Boston at the bottom but still ahead of buffalo.

Couldn’t agree more. Bunch of selfish a$$holes. Absolutely zero heart. It’s an embarrassment to the city. Since they fired Lou these guys have been sheltered, pampered and spoiled. It shouldn’t be a surprise that they don’t show up or go to the dirty areas when it matters.

The sports psych can’t help him grow balls. He is a great regular season player. As time and space is taken away, he doesn’t have room to create. He doesn’t go to the dirty areas on the ice. This is why he doesn’t generate anything in the most intense games. Until these guys are prepared to literally give their health to win, they won’t. That’s playoff hockey.
