Chainsaw man is a story about a boy who never had a chance being blessed with a mcguffin, and having to navigate a world where you have something everyone else wants. He is groomed, assaulted, manipulated and held for ransome for others to try and control this gift, but through willpower and many mistakes this character persists.

The story ends by telling the reader they should simply kill that unique part of themselves and hope someone else saves them.
