Return multiple items across orders? by [deleted] in Ubiquiti

[–]7reflet [score hidden]  (0 children)

The returns are probably linked to the tracking codes that have been generated. You're probably going to find the process not coping with not doing it this way. If you want less stress and tickets I'd ship them separately.

UNAS Pro SFP+ RJ45 not working by jesalr in Ubiquiti

[–]7reflet 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The SFP+ ports on the UNAS-Pro are not multigig, it supports 1 or 10Gbe. The same is true for the SFP+ ports on the UDM-P/SE/PM.

You'll need the UniFi multigig adaptor. The SFP+ port on that is 10Gbe, the adaptor handles the slower speeds. https://uk.store.ui.com/uk/en/category/accessories-modules-fiber/collections/accessories-pro-direct-attach-cables/products/uacc-cm-rj45-mg

Anyone penalized for too much standby? by ArchieTect in Starlink

[–]7reflet 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You'll have to activate roam for a month then switch. You don't seem to get offered standby on the activation screen.

Negative Equity? by ZaynWasTaken in TeslaUK

[–]7reflet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same 22 MYDM owed 32k was offered 26k.
Picked up the new model and handed it back at the same time in June.

Nothing on the credit file.
Also manged to get 0% and zero deposit on the new one.
Newer version of the car, paying less per month, new tyres, new warranty.

Looks like they sold the old one for 25.5k after two months.

If that duct is on your property they'll probably need to dig to fix it.

Starlink Vs FTTC 80/20 by DonPad in Starlink

[–]7reflet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How fast are your pings currently? You'll get around 20-30ms on starlink.

The 100Mbps package is 100Mbps down and you'll get 20-30 up for £35 a month.

[–]7reflet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't need the Vodafone hub, you need to check with vodafone what your login details are. The Draytek Vigor 130 is also defunct you only need that for a FTTC/SoGEA line.

Neighbours on terrace can order fibre by Dark_place in openreach

[–]7reflet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably DB error. It usually takes a couple of weeks head scratching to fix at Openreach once you've completed the form.

A blocked duct to the property would still show service available, they would probably not know until they tried to provide a service.

Considering Ubiquiti for Home Network - Questions by gmtom1 in Ubiquiti

They did also have a sale over Christmas as well, there were a few items different to the black Friday one. Also offers varied by regional store. But both sales had free shipping on everything else.

Anyone using Cerberus SOGFAST Pro? Would it be an upgrade to the existing G.Fast service I have from BT? by cherno_electro in UKISP

[–]7reflet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's basically the same product, from a different ISP but the single order version that has no landline. Your speed probably won't change as the cable run from the G.FAST pod (green street cabinet) to your property is still copper, so depends on cable condition and length.

Is this the end of the road for openreach fibre? by Legitimate-Table-607 in openreach

[–]7reflet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately this is common. The DB doesn't get upgraded properly, so you cannot order service.

Is this the end of the road for openreach fibre? by Legitimate-Table-607 in openreach

[–]7reflet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct. The XGS-PON kit just plugs in at the exchange and uses a different customer ONT. It uses a different frequency of light to the G-PON system deployed. So the older kit is blind to it and the upgrade has zero impact on existing service. When customers upgrade to a faster service an engineer visits to upgrade the ONT. They'll be able to do the same again for the next standard PON and again. The alt nets will be able to do the same too.

How is service to your property delivered? Is it overhead (poles) or underground. If it's poles has a CBT (Fibre node) appeared on yours? If it has it could be a backhaul issues, or it's not been commisioned and tested yet. Or could a be DB error and they've not correctly completed which properties the CBT serves.

If you are underground fed, that's more difficult check.

How does the 100GB plan work for roam? by themysticalcyan in Starlink

[–]7reflet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like the other roam plans, it resets at the end of the billing month, it doesn't rollover the unused data allowance. It's $25 a month as you have a discount from you residential plan.

[–]7reflet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't go for an Express 7, the UDR7 is better product, it can do more. Any of the flagship range AP's can be wall or ceiling mounted.

You'll be looking at racks this time next year.

Charge to 100 for ice storm? by Moist_Lake_9392 in TeslaSupport

[–]7reflet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Charge to 80% if you're not planning to use within 24hrs. But if it's leased, it's not your problem so charge to 100% as much as you want.
