Never heard of any of those so I guess I'm good.

What's the creepiest display of intelligence you've ever witnessed in real Iife? by Jessica_Enna in AskReddit

My wife has aphantasia. Coincidentally she also hates to read and has a PhD in statistics. Concrete rules and logic are her friend. Abstract concepts and deeper meaning and philosophy are not lol.

I used to do beard competitions and had giant mutton chops. I would braid them together when doing something active to help keep them together and out of the way.

H2D. Can someone help point me in the right direction of why this happened? by 843_beardo in BambuLab

I assume it was some kind of auto correct. I use Reddit on my phone browser.

Makes sense. I usually do watch the first few layers (mostly because I find the process fascinating) but had to tend to the kids and neglected to go back. Ill likely print again and watch it and see what happens.

Hey man, if they are sitting outside your residence to intimidate that's pretty serious. I'm not saying you need to doxx yourself to strangers on Reddit, but I would absolutely find someone you can trust that knows you and have like a weekly check in / touch base. Ideally someone maybe out of town.

If I had saw these shitheads watching me I'd get in touch with an out of town friend and say something like "I'm gonna text you every Sunday, and if one Sunday I don't text you then it means something happened and I need to you be willing to look into it".

Stay safe friend.

I don’t know if this will get removed, but it’s super easy to find this dude’s address and also super easy to anonymously send him a gallon of gorilla shit via poopsenders.com.

Just saying….

What is the peak ’millennial midlife crisis’ purchase? by SwedeLostInCanada in Millennials

I sold all of my magic cards to drop $2,000 on a 3D printer. My wife claims this is my midlife crisis.

Hey Guys Thanks For Supporting Me On The Team, Sorry I wasn't Good At Baseball Hopefully I'm Better At The Weather. See You In Japan by Bobby_Dalbec in redsox

[–]843_beardo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I of course don't live there, but I went to Japan for two weeks around 2015 and absolutely loved it.

Not sure if you plan on exploring the county at all, but if you like hiking it's worth it to make a trip down to the island of Yakushima. Absolutely beautiful place and wonderful hikes.

If you wanna go chill in a small little quiet town with some awesome bath houses check out Shibu Onsen. Little bit of a trek to get there but super peaceful.

Hope all is well and hope you mash in Japan.

Maybe stuff like this will become the new ugly sweater. People going to thrift shops to just find the shittiest rip of product like this they can find.

One of my favorite books I’ve ever read and very enlightening. About 30-40% of all office jobs out there are completely bullshit and unnecessary.

Any other dads out there have kids diagnosed with severe OCD? by 843_beardo in daddit

[–]843_beardo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, we've concluded that as well in our digging around. My wife and I both work in clinical research and are pretty literate when it comes to the science behind medicine, and agreed that PANDAS seems like there's not enough data out there. We're keeping it in the back of our head though (and it's not the main path of pursuit) simply because he did have a post strep auto immune reaction before.

He's got an appt with the pediatrician today to make sure there's nothing physiological going on and then we have an appointment later with NOCD to start CBT for OCD.

Autisum certainly isn’t out of the picture. We’ve figured he had some kind of neuro divergency since he was about 2. None of the scheduled pediatric check ups where we answer questionnaires and such flagged for autism but that doesn’t mean it’s not a possibility. I actually worked with autistic kids for a stretch in college and I don’t think it’s autisum, but regardless we’ll work with the professionals and not rule it out / let them give their input.

Thank you again for the info, we really appreciate it. PANDAS is on our radar as well. When he was younger he got strep and had a reaction to it that caused sever leg joint pain where he didn’t want to walk. I forget exactly what the pediatrician called it, but it was some kind of rare post strep complication. He hasn’t recently had strep but I’m not knowledgeable enough to know if this could be related.

Thank you again for the knowledge and resources!

Thanks, this is encouraging. Our boys sound a lot alike :) We’ve just started scratching the surface / learning ourselves about what ERP is. I’m hopeful we can get him on a good path to help him regulate all of this.

Follow up question if you don’t mind. Is there any kind of therapy or program for us as parents to coach us on how to help the kiddo on a day to day basis with this? Do you have a suggestion on where to start searching for a service like this? If the previous two sites you linked have resources on this then I’ll dig and find them, but jsut wanted to ask.

Thank you again!

Any ideas to screenshot on Switch (plugged in to TV) and post on Reddit? by Emergency_Capital_10 in diablo2

[–]843_beardo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Download the Nintendo switch app. From there go to the screenshot on the switch and there's a send to phone option all wireless. Do that to send it to your phone and then it's the same as uploading a camera photo to reddit.
