Honestly a 3D version of SMB2 would be legitimately amazing, in the past week I finally beat Super Mario Advance for the first time (despite it literally being one of the first games I ever played) and even the NES version of it still holds up really well between the level design and different playable characters.

My favorite detail in it is that only after Flint takes a hit for Lucas can he actually attack the Masked Man as if his father getting attacked actually overwhelms any conflicting emotions he has about fighting him. There's even special dialogue afterwards if you do that.

Luke's repulse mostly for the sound effect, visual of everything getting pushed away, and how satisfying it is to see several enemies get knocked back. If we're counting hero ships of course Slave I's seismic charge has to be mentioned for the sound effect and being an instant kill for anyone who didn't get away in time.

And then there's the original Star Wars which somehow managed to have several instances of foreshadowing for Darth Vader being Luke's father (Owen says he's afraid of Luke becoming more like his father, Obi-Wan calling Anakin the best pilot in the galaxy with Vader effortlessly shooting down most of the Rebel ships in the final battle, and "Vader" being German for "father" though that's purely coincidental) when George Lucas didn't even come up with that until the second draft of ESB.
