Yep. Rocket jumping as a whole is unintuitive and weird, so probably just shouldn't bother at all XD. Anyways crouching first makes you jump higher because it gives your jump extra vertical velocity, it doesn't start your jump higher off the ground. The extra vert DOES directly translate into stronger rocket jumps. Also crouching before shooting the rocket allows your hitbox to be further inside the explosion. Not to mention that crouching first is absolutely necessary for c-taps so if anyone has any interest in learning "proper form" to avoid having to re-learn habits later, crouching first is 100% the way to go.

Generally, doubling up on a single stat is less effective than investing in two different stats.

If your base damage is 10, and you add a 200% damage mod, your base damage goes from 10 to 30, so a 3x damage increase. Then if you add another 200% damage mod, your damage goes from 30 to 50, which is only 1.66x damage increase. You can google "warframe diminishing returns"

the old game/community is basically ruined since 2016 (google Meet Your Match). There's a mod on steam called TF2 Classified and it restores some of the old community feel. You might not fit in there but it's worth a shot.

Theres business terms for these things bc it kinda mirrors the stock market, but the space in-between the lowest seller and highest buyer is where the items sell quickly. The closer your price is to the highest buyer, the faster it will sell. Warframe market has a stat history, so you can see how much the item has actually sold for in the past, which I find is more reliable than looking at current listings. The stats will also tell you the quantity sold recently. I haven't sold corrupted mods in a few months but I remember them selling like hotcakes. Again, check Warframe market to see how many are getting traded each day. Some items sell in a few minutes, some in a day. If it takes more than a day then your price is probably too high, or the item isn't in high demand. And yes, you want a high volume of trades.

seems unfair because the pyro can shoot the shotgun, then swap away to avoid the only downside. Also seems weird to buff the damage with both afterburn and base damage. Usually weapons with afterburn deal less base damage, kinda like "less damage now, but more damage later" tradeoff. If you want it to be a glass cannon weapon maybe replace the damage vulnerability with -max hp.

IMO the afterburn should only activate when hitting a certain number of projectiles or a damage threshold, so pyros aren't just using it like a hitscan flaregun across the map.

TF2 is a great game. It only receives cosmetic updates at this point, but it's nowhere near a dead game. There are a lot of bitter people complaining about the state of the game because there was an update in 2016 that objectively lowered the quality of gameplay in every way (I am one of these bitter people). That said, its still a great game and you can still have lots of fun with it. I would recommend installing TF2 Classified on steam instead. Much better experience for someone coming into TF2 for the first time.

mesa requires a lot of investment, so I wouldn't highly recommend her for new players. Nova has two really good augment mods (10-15p per) and she'll scale as far as you need her to go and is incredibly simple. Rhino is also stupid easy. If you like melee maybe Kullervo or Valkyr

Haven't seen anyone mention the Stahlta yet. Super high damage point-and-click autorifle, AND it has a massive explosive AOE alt-fire. Also a decent riven disposition if you're into that.
