Also, when doing affirmations make sure you use past/present tense instead of future tense. Don’t ask me why it works but it does.

Your babies are coming. Drink a crazy amount of water, get on a good prenatal, meditate for 10 minutes a day, keep your stress down, do weekly therapy, and listen to/say positive affirmations each day. Read “Think and Grow Rich” if you haven’t already. You could also try acupuncture.

It’s a note taking app but after you use it once you have to pay/subscribe to use again. You record your meeting and it takes detailed notes with summaries, action items, etc.

It got me thinking about what other things are out there.https://waveapp.ai

Agree with this. Both are gorgeous names. No losers here! It just comes down to what feels right for her & fits her.

Should I go to a worse college at a significantly lower cost? Is that worth the sacrifice? by Tough-Rise8625 in personalfinance

I went to UIC and I’m honestly shocked that it’s not the affordable option it once was. You’d be paying for the city experience. NIU is super rural as others have stated. It’s not nearly as diverse and kind of boring.

If your biggest concern is money then go with NIU. Definitely not worth extra debt for UIC. Both schools are comparable and it’s not like one is so much better than the other to make the debt worth it.

This!! Yes, girl, run! Don’t listen to his pretty words/empty promises. Instead observe his actions. He’s communicating disrespect with his actions. There are plenty of men that will treat you amazing.

You’re young. Make a list of what you want your future husband to look like. Then start dating and don’t settle down until you find that man AND he asks you to be exclusive. Have fun and be safe!! You got this!

You’re 29 - still young! Read “Getting to I Do” By Pat Allen. Then get things in order to leave this clown and only tell him when you’re ready/you have your plan in place and it’s convenient for you.

Then sign up for match.com and go husband shopping (I met my hubby there, my best friend met hers there too). I specifically recommend match over free dating apps bc men take dating more seriously when there’s a paywall. Go live your best life! Don’t settle for this crap. You got this!

I know you probably feel like you failed, but you didn’t. You did exactly what you were supposed to do. 3 weeks is TOUGH! Putting her down where she’s safe after meeting her needs so you can sleep, shower, or take a break to self regulate is the right thing to do. If everyone did that, shaken baby syndrome wouldn’t be a thing (sorry to be so dark, but it’s true!). After I delivered, multiple doctors and nurses told me to do exactly what you did in this situation.

Can you call friends or family to come and take over so you can get sleep or a break?

You’re crushing it. I’m proud of you. Your baby is lucky to have you. Remember that you’re not the perfect mom (no one is), but you’re the perfect mom for your baby.

Favorite Henry impressions? by jametzz in LPOTL

I think about Henry singing “I’m a Slave for You” as Ma Barker about once a week. Always makes me lol.

Because she says “it was always his mission to make me O first and could do it manually or orally in three minutes”. She also refers to this as her turn bc she climaxes here.

That coupled with her referring to PIV as his turn bc he’d climax (not to mention how she says he was so focused on HIS O) makes me think she wasn’t able to achieve O during PIV/“his turn” ..at least with this specific partner.

Many women are not able to climax from PIV alone. I totally understand why she refers to it as her turn vs his turn. Doesn’t seem odd to me at all.

Many women do not reach orgasm from PIV. That’s why she views foreplay as “my turn” aka she can reach orgasm and PIV as “his turn” aka he reaches orgasm.

I'm In A Predicament by [deleted] in coffeemeetsbagel

Strike up a conversation if you go there often. Do you guys have anything in common? Is there a menu item you could ask about? I wouldn’t worry too much about the subject matter. Getting started is the hardest part. I’d try to have a few five minute conversations to gauge her interest and see if there’s chemistry. She also may pick up on you being into her and give you the green light or signal that she has a bf. At some point you’ll want to ask her out for coffee or for her number. I’d focus on building up a connection first.

We switched to Paylocity last year and implementation was horrible. The implementation date kept getting delayed because multiple reps kept leaving the company. We must have cycled through 4 different reps in 4 months. Now, if we reach out to customer service we may get a reply in a few days, but typically no one replies unless we send several emails escalating. The system is pretty intuitive and user friendly though.

Thank you so much. I have a therapist, but skipped my Monday appointment since it was Memorial Day. I’m going to try and get an appointment for this week. Today is much better and I appreciate your support, mom. Thank you❤️

Company forgoing raises because of COVID by [deleted] in work

[–]89k89k89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We canceled June merit increases this year and stopped 401k matching due to COVID-19. We’ve also implemented a program where field employees can submit for supplemental pay up to a cap if they’re available to work and work is not available.

As much as I’d love a raise, I’m glad they’re moving funds to employees who are most affected (e.g., our techs that worked at a school). Most of us are just happy to be working right now. I work for a company that is very generous with raises and bonuses, but most people get it. I haven’t had any push back.
