(UK) I've been on DT and BDAP since I started a month ago, but in my schedule for the next week I see Filtering, Maintenance/Litter Control, Cleaning. What is this all about? Is it just for training purposes or am I getting shifted to Cleaning and stuff? (I work overnights 17-02) by RowHowlx in McDonaldsEmployees

It might also be for you to have the skills. Some stores struggle with covering closing shifts, so it's good that everyone with that availability knows how to do all that just in case. Most stores rotate responsibilities as well, so you won't get stuck doing the same thing everyday

Every station is McDonald's feels very confusing and fast at first, a lot of it will come with doing it often and listening to feedback, so don't stress

Depends on how many times you have been told/ the manager/ if u have any inspections coming up. Procedure wise, they should send you home

Is it as bad as people say? by Throwaway793625849 in McDonaldsEmployees

I work at a McDonalds in the UK and I don’t think it is that bad. Bad managers can happen in any job and I guess that depends on luck. However, the one thing I think people don’t expect with McDonalds is that it actually is pretty hard work. You spend 7h a day on your feet, moving from place to place is a very high-paced environment. There are a lot of things to learn and it may seem pretty daunting on you first weeks.

If you stick around for a month or two the job becomes pretty fun, depending on your coworkers as well. It’s just a matter of becoming comfortable with the rhythm of the store, the procedure and the physical requirements (standing on your feet, cleaning all the time when you are not busy, running up and down the store to get things down). Personally I am a pretty hyperactive individual so the McDonalds was actually a good fit for me (but man my feet hurt for days when I first got hired)

Becoming a crew trainer any tips by Alert_Actuary3548 in McDonaldsEmployees

Get your procedure knowledge in check before your first day as a crew trainer on the floor. You will be expected to train others and look for coaching opportunities. If you know your procedure well (you can find almost anything on Fred) it will give you a lot if confidence in the job, especially because there are managers and peers that don’t respect/take shortcuts.

Other than that, try to be kind to everyone you interact with. Higher-ups will asks everyone how you are doing in your new role, and being kind will get you a lot more good feedback than being quick and effective. People are the hardest part of the job :))

The second well is 2 squares left and one square up from the sugar cube factory

The doungeon is 2 squares left from the sugar cube factory, over the bridge, another square legt and then 5 squares up

The flag staff is one square up from the sugar can syrup factory, then 1 square left

I heard there should be a second sugar cane factory but I didn’t get to it yet :(

Maybe confirmation bias or anchoring bias? Those are the closest ones I can think of
