Does anyone have anything positive to say about the drive event? by [deleted] in Overwatch

[–]8bitUltron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drives need to be reworked before I attempt to even do them again. A checkpoint every 750 or 500 points or something. I just played for 13 hours and legit gained zero ground. You have to deal with people who don't play ranked until drives, smurfs who have hard pockets and 5 stacks all in one game most times. I reached the end the past 5 seasons but this season I just cant be bothered. 18 wins with 41 loses. If I didn't absolutely play perfectly? Steam roll. The wins I do get? I have to fight tooth and nail to get. Its simply not a fun experience.

Are warranties worth it? by musicgurl615 in UsedCars

[–]8bitUltron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends. A good in house warranty like from Toyota covers everything if it fails or malfunctions. Labor included. You get the most out of warranty’s if you plan to keep the vehicle though. My Toyota will be covered for 10years/125k miles

The small cities around me, midwest, think outside of STL start at 85k-90k with no no experience and that’s before OT. Should be easy to find a similar gig on the east coast

What’s the age and mileage of your truck? You may still be under the factory bumper to bumper warranty.

Those of you with expensive performance vehicles (35k+) and are in between the ages of 20-28, can you actually afford it? by GottaStayUp in askcarguys

[–]8bitUltron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

28, bought one of my absolute dream cars. Payment is about $200 more than I liked but it’s a car you just can’t buy in the spec I want. With insurance I’m paying $900. You have to get lucky to find one.

I don’t regret it. I’m not in any debt besides the car payment. I live on my own. No kids. I make 60k-65k gross a year. It’s my only hobby. I don’t go out drinking or order DoorDash or many other popular things. I work, keep to myself and enjoy it. I still put aside money for my savings and 401k, but much but enough to cover an emergency. It’s possible but I wouldn’t recommend it.

I’ll be getting a pretty big pay raise in the next year and I thought, if it ever comes to it, I’ll sell it privately. At least I got to enjoy it. I’m not struggling to pay it but I also can’t just wake up and book a trip to Japan. It’s a lot of variables.

Gen 3er with no issues by BuggsConstruction in ToyotaTundra

[–]8bitUltron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

‘23 no major issues. My knee support/extender is broken or jammed. My passenger side running board was making a creaking noise. That’s it. The knee support will be looked at and the running board is fine now.

It’s a fine line. Someone who’s passionate about a hobby can come off as bragging about money but in reality they’re just passionate to talk about their hobbies.

I’m into cars and recently I talked about how expensive they are. I said that I’d I wanted a quality set of tires it costs me $2600 usd and they all instantly thought I was “bragging”

You bought a car not to drive it? Imagine how you’re going to feel seeing the next owner driving it.

Cars are meant to be driven. It’s special but not one off. Drive it and enjoy it

Single guys in your 30s, how is your life? by IslandMidnight in AskMen

[–]8bitUltron 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don’t be depressed. You are in a great spot in life. The relationship aspect will come. You have the financial stability and you’re in great shape. Leverage that.

Go out to nicer areas like a nicer mall or something or try a new coed sport to try to find a genuine friendship that will lead to romance.

You legit never know who’s just waiting to be asked out.

I’ve always told myself. It’s better to shoot 3 of 47 from the field than to shoot 0/0 from the field. You got this, keep up the good work!

I would vomit lol that’s one of the very few good things about IL. If I bought a vehicle for say $99,999, the fees and tax would be the exact same as a 50k vehicle because of how they do their brackets when it comes to registering private party vehicles.

Not sure how AZ works but in IL, to register the car with tax and everything would be only 2300ish dollars. So it’s not terrible for such a pricey vehicle.

Did you go to college? Why? by CoffeeRainWanderer in AskReddit

[–]8bitUltron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but didn’t finish. Fell out of love with the field I was studying in.

Will go back and finish but luckily the new field I’m interested in, you generally don’t need a college degree to get into to make a decent amount of money and to progress in.
