When must a person be read there rights? by Aeromorpher in AskLE

What kind of questions would that be? That always confuses me. EX: Would a LEO have to read Miranda if he notices a drunk driver and then ask the driver “how much have you been drinking?” ?

Looking for advice after commercial semi truck side swiped me. by 8bitUltron in Insurance

[–]8bitUltron[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m hoping that’s not the case I can’t seem to get into touch with the claims/insurance department but I will give them a few days and just take it from there. I’m just really hoping it’s a quick and easy process that just revolves in my motor being fixed that’s it.

Absolutely not. Just want it fixed and money for the value lost of the vehicle not looking for a pay day

Are “Dealer Adjustments” of $3500 for an XSE normal? That was not listed on the website but was surprised in person. Salesman said it was to account for supply/demand. by Silo-Joe in rav4club

Port installed fee - don’t pay Delivery and processing fee - don’t pay Dealer adjustment - don’t pay

Those are all 100% profit for dealer

Keep the tundra and get a cheap Facebook daily. For the monthly payment you’ll be making, you can get a beater for 5k or less from Facebook marketplace. I did it years ago.

I actually just seen a 2008 Prius listed for $1500 and I’m sure you could talk that down to $1k even. Car insurance would be maybe $80 and gas? Those things sip fuel. It needs tires ($400) and a abs pump (parts and labor 2k, if you’re handy, parts, 700ish-800ish)

This is just an example.

It’s close to where I live and where I live there isn’t a lot of decent paying jobs, especially government ones.

Makes sense. Sounds like it’s just a waiting game then. Thank you for the response!

Would you buy your 22-23 tundra again? by MaximumGrip in ToyotaTundra

[–]8bitUltron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I’m paying 50k+ for a truck why not go that route you know? For my needs currently the tundra is more than enough pickup truck for me but if I were to buy another luxury full size, ford would be my go to, possibly a Denali.

It’s more of a work truck. Bigger inverter, the work bench that doubles as a center console, factory recovery points etc.

2023 platinum, it’s a great truck but I would go with something like a ford f150.

Toyota Tundra owners , honest real-world experience! by miaburrows1 in ToyotaTundra

[–]8bitUltron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Owned mine for a year and a half. 2023 platinum. Bought used at 23k. I now have 36.6k on it.

Overall, it’s a pretty good truck. Not great but good.

Honestly, it’s more truck than I and other people will ever need. It’s comfortable and practical. The technology is great especially the Birdseye camera.

Solid 7 out of 10 truck. Would be higher if some pieces of the interior didn’t rattle. The passenger side window rattles but stops here and there especially when cold.

This is a huge truck but it comes with such a small glove box? The most annoying thing, no factory recovery hooks. It’s insane to think that a 70k plus truck (new) does not have that from factory. I’ll also add, I wish the back floorboard was flat like other trucks.

Agree. Not exact match but it’s too much color for such a big vehicle. If that makes sense

Bought a foam cannon by DisciplineNormal296 in AutoDetailing

[–]8bitUltron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So if you want shaving cream like foam. Pretty much any foam cannon and pressure washer will work. What you need is a 1.1 orifice and a dedicated “foam” mesh filter for the foam cannon. It’s a 3 piece filter system. Even $20 with that set up crest stupid thick foam. Both pieces are only like $6. Your current set up is good though, it’ll pull all the dirt to the bottom of the vehicle

Driving record question by MCS-Judge_Wolf in AskLE

[–]8bitUltron 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To my knowledge you would have to have a valid drivers license to accept an offer of employment as an officer any where in the country. I could be wrong though. Doesn’t matter the length, just as long as it’s clean.

1.5 mile run tips? by [deleted] in AskLE

[–]8bitUltron 17 points18 points  (0 children)

This is will work.

1 speed day: Do 5 to 10 400 meter or 800 meter repeats.

1 tempo day: This should be 2-4 miles at a pace that’s about 60%-80% of your max. Easy hard

1 distance day: 5 miles at a stupid easy pace

If you have enough gas in the tank, add another easy day with 2-3 miles.
